Not enough

No reason to stop at 2.

Get unlimited challenges until you get 1 wrong.

Coaches will still be judicious in how they are used because they need to have one at the end of the game.

They want the games to end eventually. NBA ratings are down already.

Appears that Jalen Brown and the Celtics are a couple of miles apart on his new Max contract.

Rumors are that he wants an out option in 2025 and C's are saying 2026 at the earliest.

Most of the players who have gotten the Max have generally started looking for a new place to play after the initial year. It appears that Brad just might deal Brown if he can't get him to stay for three more years. He ain't letting him walk away for free after next year.

Brown to Portland for Lillard?? Brown to GS for Curry? Brown to the NY Knicks for Brunson and Randle??
Curry lol?

You would want Brunson/Randle?

Might as well project Brown to the Lakers for DLo/Rui...

Someone is either going to have to gamble or force the C's into a sign and trade. They may npt be able to get an even trade and will have to eat a huge contract to balance it out. It ain't what I want, it's what it might have to be.

If they can't come to terms then Brown will be sold to the highest bidder.

Seems to me that Brown/Lillard might be the most palatable for both teams whether the players like it or not.

There won’t be that many challenges.

But people here get so bent out of shape over missed calls. Coaches should be able to challenge and correct the egregious ones.

Try too many times, you lose the right to challenge again.

But if you want refs to get the obvious calls right?

Then it has to be unlimited challenges.

People are always complaining about the calls....and you're right about the challenges.

Miami is having issues with Portland because they don't want to take on another SG. Unless Portland can unload Simons in the deal too, Celtics would have similar trouble (plus Dame has said publicly he has no interest in the Celtics).

Agreed, but the league will look at it differently in an effort to keep games shorter. They could eliminate a lot of wasted time by just having a booth ref view questionable calls instead of the guys on the floor. It's human nature to not want to reverse your own call anyway, should be taken out of the floor officials' hands.

Brown isn’t Tyler Herro though. Brown would be the best player they could hope to land for Dame. You get the best player and then you make other arrangements. Simons and Shaedon Sharpe on the roster shouldn’t get in the way of acquiring Brown. That being said, I can’t see Celtics even offering Brown unless Dame relents on his one team shit. You don’t deal Brown to potentially get back a disgruntled player. If I’m the Celtics, I don’t even want Dame if it means giving up Brown.

I saw some random trade on the internet that had initially intrigued me, but looking deeper gave me real concerns.

KAT for Rozier, Washington, 2 1sts.

What I learned is PJ Washington might be the worst rebounding big in the league and Rozier's outside shot has consistently dropped for 3 years in a row and is down to 32%.

I have never been more excited and then disappointed in an imaginary trade that was never going to happen.

Brown could play SF as well.

Actually would be a decent trade for both teams.

Good point. I would think if Brown was really being dangled out there this thing would be over and Portland would be jumping at that one.

Saw the last part....they absolutely should trade Brown for Dame if he SD ok to Boston.

The Tatum and Brown duo may never really pan out....Dame gives them the PG and shooter they need. With the add of Porzingis they would have a really nice 2-3 year window.

I thought so too at first. I suppose Washington's rebounding issues would matter less when Gobert and Reid are rotating, and McDaniels being decent. However 3 years of Rozier seems dicey when his shoot decline has gone from outlier to trend. Plus Conley is the main PG.

Rozier is more of a combo guard and you told me Edwards could play SF. Rozier can get his 3% back up.

That's what I was implying, that they would need to move Simons as a potential complication.

I don't see the great fit for the Celtics either. Dame's contract is only going to get more troublesome as he ages out (plus he would need to shift his views towards teams other than the Heat).

If I'm Portland, I don't move Dame to Miami without that offer getting a lot better (and it's hard to see a path for that to happen). Portland might be better off making other moves to placate Dame to get him to reverse course?

Pretty sure he isn't willing to reverse course at this point and what moves can they make that would make them a contender (which is what he has wanted for years)?
