What am I missing on the Blazers not wanting Herro? I haven't looked at their roster...Do they have a glut of guards or something?

I get that he's not Dame. But he's an All Star caliber shooting guard. Who couldn't use one of those?

I’m guessing Miami is trying to do the deal without including Martin and that’s not going to get it done

They have Simons, Scoot and Sharpe but just 10 guys under contract. They should be able to flip Herro or Simons.

They have Scoot Simons and Shaedon Sharpe. The biggest issue is that Herro is the centerpiece of the deal. If it were Bam and Herro I think they would see it differently.

This isn't the Lakers trying to overvalue THT. Herro is an actual good player and he's young. Seems like exactly what they should be looking for.

I think BKN would have to throw in another 1st and/or take a contract just for POR to take Simmons. If they get back Herro we are talking possibly 2-3 1st’s and/or taking a bad contract.

Boston and Philly can do miles better. It isn’t close. In fact, if other teams wanted to get involved they could do better. If Portland wanted Herro this would be different

A Scoot and Herro backcourt would be pretty fun though....the Blazers would just need to flip Simons....unless they went with a 3 guard lineup...

Yep. I get the Blazers saying a Herro centered package isn't enough and they want Martin too.

Instead of saying they have no interest in an all star caliber player, they should do like the Pels kept doing in the AD negotiations and be like Oliver Twist,,,
