I don't know about that. Some guys bodies just don't hold up well.

He played 36 games at UCLA, but hasn't played more than 63 games in any season since he came to the NBA.

Hopefully they can figure out the issue and he can get back to playing...but right now, that seems unlikely.

Apparently the Bulls have requested a disabled player exception which indicates they don't expect him to play this coming season.

I do think there is a lot to the notion that youth basketball systems in America unnecessarily over tax our best young players.

And I think many have early deteriorating bodies as a result.

Possible Lavar played in to that some too, but certainly not fair to speculate that he did.

Yeah, I guess you could say it was about his play in the sense that his play isn't good enough for him to run his mouth the way he does and be the distraction that he was.

But really, his play was mostly okay, just not good enough to cover for his mouth. Without that, he's probably still in Memphis.
Exactly.

I get a little bluster.

But, his shit was egregious and he ran like a bitch when they lost.

I am not a Bronsexual.

But, you can’t give these “ he old “ sound bites and then refuse to talk to the media when he busts your ass.

They messed up leading Dame to believe they would trade that pick.

Scoot is the future Dame.

Can’t trade the rookie with a sky high ceiling to get help for a 32 year old on a team that frankly isn’t close to winning.

Utah a title contender?
Right.

Which is the crux of the issue.

A contender can’t stay a contender if they give the Blazers fair value.

A team that can give fair value isn’t a contender.

So, Dame might as well stay where he is.

Someone has to take a L here.

Dunno if it will be the Blazers or Dame.

But, I would be very worried about the Celtics.

They said they would look to move the pick, not that they absolutely would.

I honestly believe both sides had good intentions here.

No way does Portland overpay Grant if they were not trying to appease Dame.

No way does Dame give them this long to produce results if he wasn’t considering staying.

It just isn’t meant to be.

Wondering if they try to flip Grant now but that seems unlikely. They could literally flip Dame, Nurkic and Grant in a big trade and just start over with their young guards, players acquired and all their picks. I get Grant could be a bridge player but like you said, makes no sense now.

The sad thing is that we could all see this coming a mile away.

As soon as Portland landed the 3 pick, it was clear that Dame time has come to an end.

They needed to realize it sooner.

Another one. Can't pay attention to cap space. Salaries and players aren't updated.

Portland gets 3 1st's. 2 from Miami a one from BKN.
