Optics like when Durant requested yet another trade and Brooklyn said, nah…not for that trash and ended up with Mikal?

Because, that wasn’t the offer during the Summer.

They tried to give them Ayton and trash.

The Blazers don’t have to do anything that doesn’t benefit them.

Still trying to figure out where I said they do.

It's not really Dame hate or even Blazers hate...it's more questioning how both sides are handling this.

If memory serves, both KG and Minny were pretty clear. KG was willing to play out his career in Minny and Minny basically said "We're starting our rebuild and we're going to get you to a team that gives you a chance to get a ring"...then they did just that.

Dame and the Blazers have been doing this weird public dance where they commit to each other then turn around and say things that indicate they aren't committed to each other. That's more what's been questioned.
Kind of. They had worked out a deal with Boston before the draft, but KG refused to sign an extension with them. So he hung around with no way to progress until July 30th when he finally agreed to sign in Boston.

So he alerted he was done earlier, but actively delayed it until FA was well over.

What are their demands?

Maybe I missed something.

All I have seen is they don’t want Herro and that shitty Duncan Robinson contract for a top 75 player.

…..and I don’t blame them.

From what I recall earlier, they said they were expecting a star in return. When was the last time a team trading a star who wanted out, has gotten a star in return?

As I posted earlier, the only way I can see that they could do that would be to trade for Harden.

Right.

KG had to be talked into it, which is nuts.

But guess what?

He wanted to go to the Lakers and they were having none of that.

They did what was best for their franchise.

…..I don’t even think it was about the asset recovery.

It was more watching him win in Conference to a team that already has all their City’s banners…lol

That’s bad optics to your fan base.

Probably a young star.

They want Mikal.

Brooklyn is like hell to the no.

KG being on bad terms with Minnesota is a true sport shame. Glad Glen Taylor is on his way out.

Thunder are going to let Chet rim protect from off the ball, drive people crazy with their wings and run a lot of teams out of the gym on the offensive end. We will see.

The Lakers were responsible for their playoff exit in 2003 and also for probably their best chance at a title during KG's tenure in the 2004 WCF.

So, sending him to the Lakers would have been incredibly bad optics for their fan base. Heck, they probably enjoyed watching him get his ring by beating the Lakers. lol
