I am a little surprised wolves did not extend the QO for Alexander-Walker. Not sure why he has bounced around so much. Already a decent 3 and D with potential for more.

They do want to resign him still, but we will see.

By trading Harden.....you are trusting Maxey to develop into the player he could be. Embiid and Maxey is a pretty solid 1-2 punch. Harris is not a shabby #3 guy.....instead of the #4 he is with Harden on the team.

Plus you have Hart and Hattenstein who is an upgrade over Reed who you could let walk and use the MLE.

Fournier could be released or used as depth off the bench. Maybe trade him around the deadline as an expiring contract.

Not to mention the picks
Your “solution” makes the Sixers no better than 6th in the East. Bucks Celtics Heat Knicks Cavs would all be better than that Sixers group. With roster reconstruction this off season, the Hawks and Nets could even take a step forward.

Ewww… I don’t want him anywhere near my squad. Did you see my 3 way Philly Clippers Blazers deal? This is assuming Balmer wants to take one more swing at his Kawhi/PG13 group. I even gave you Furkan Korkmaz to help replace Kennard.
I just went back 4 pages, that’s my max…lol

Give me the deal again, please?

What is winning the deal? Quickley and Hart is winning it imo. Getting Quickley next to Maxey and adding slop is not. Who cares about picks. Only good for picks is it being useful attaching to Harris or another player in a deal. If Philly gets Hart and Quickley…I like it
Because the Sixers need those picks to get a big fish to package with Harris expiring deal. 2024, 2027, 2029 1st round picks plus Harris and Korkmaz expiring deals gives Portland 3 firsts and immediate cap relief for their rebuild. Dame to the Sixers. If they don’t have an eye on using this situation this way they lose big time. You know I’ve been on the blow it up wagon for numerous reasons. One is if Embiid asks out, you’re looking at the Sixers being Portland with Dame and getting back less than when the league knows the star wants out. If they don’t put another big fish around Embiid they damage the franchises biggest asset because you don’t want to trade the guy when the league knows you have to. There’s a huge ripple effect here. If they go for a deal like the Knicks that doesn’t net the big fish directly, they need those picks to make a big fish happen.

I had to do the Portland take in two screen shots to include all the picks going out.

20 and 10 last year. 2 40 point playoff games tells a different story. His playoff inconsistency and overall fit with Embiid is why he isn’t getting a long term commitment.

lol

No it doesn't. It says that Harden is who he has always been.

He helps you in the regular season, will put together a good playoff game or 2, but will ultimately disappoint in the playoffs.

Stop it.

Maxey develops without Harden there and they could be right there where they were this season. Maxey is younger and has a higher ceiling than Harden and they would have some much needed depth.

Use the MLE on a FA. Quickley and Hartenstein make that a deeper team. Let Reed walk and use Hartenstein as your backup big. If Embiid misses 15-20 games Hartenstein is a better short term fill in than Reed.

Or….we could just cut the 6ers out and get Dame?

That just has way too much going on.

I would rather have Zubac over Nurk.

I would rather have Powell over Simons.

I don’t want to trade Mann…PERIOD.

I want absolutely nothing to do with Harden.

But, if you are asking if it’s fair, sure.

To everyone except Portland.

I think this is it.
Harden thought he would get a lucrative deal in the FA market if he opted out.
He misread the situation. Nobody wants to give him 4/200+.

Pretty obvious that Harden tried to use HOU to get PHI to pony up some dough.
Morey called his bluff.

And here we are.

He’s the first big loser of the new stop investing in your product tax

Without that second apron we probably aren’t here

You don’t know my team bro. Reed is an asset you don’t let walk. He’s not a 5 but he’s acquitted himself well there. He fits a much better role inside a Nurse system where his switchability as a wing is valued. Reed has been misused. This team you present isn’t better than the Bucks Celtics Heat Cavs or Knicks. And now Embiid wants out.

That’s reductive. He had a great season. He did a bunch of things many said he was incapable of doing in putting the team ahead of him.

Reed is a nice player but he is a role player. You will have to pick between McDaniels and Reed if you want to use the MLE (according to TheQ). And that MLE can bring back a better player than Reed.

Hart is a pretty good defender so in that trade for Harden you are getting a guy who is versatile and can defend. Hart is a better overall player than Reed.

Fair. I would want Dame over Harden as well. But does Dame want the Clippers? I don’t even know if Dame would want a Harden-less Sixers to be honest. This assumes that Dame would pick the Embiid/Maxey situation. Who knows what that man is thinking though haha.

Sounds like Dame wants Miami or Brooklyn.

But, Portland has to be okay with what’s coming back in return.

I like Hart a lot but it’s not a Hart/Reed head to head. I like Reed over McDaniels. Additionally, I looked at a lot of the midlevel forwards that are out there last night and was wholly unimpressed. There’s not a lot out there that would be worth giving up on a chance to see what Reed can be when used differently than he was with Doc. Paul Reed shot over 40% from 3 in the G League. Rivers never employed him as a 4 who can spot in the corner and get 3-4 corner jumpers a game. I haven’t seen him on the floor much with Embiid at all. You see Reed for what he is now and not what he could be.

So, he put up some stats in the regular season, had a couple of good playoff games, but was inconsistent, disappointing and the Sixers got another 2nd round exit.

You have a very different definition of a "great season" than I do.

You aren’t getting Dame with Harris and picks. Other teams could offer more if push comes to shove. They can get a nice player but I’m not sure they are getting a star with any package. Just end up keeping Harris then the pressure on Philly to get a nice return on the Harden trade means that much more

My hope on Dame is that the Sixers with Harden was a non-consideration for him. But with Harden out the Sixers with Maxey/Embiid a head coach in Nurse and decent role players around it that can defend is an enticing situation for him.
