You sure were cradling his nut sack year 1. Got about 20 more posts of you talking how good he is.View attachment 347612View attachment 347613View attachment 347614View attachment 347615View attachment 347616View attachment 347617View attachment 347618View attachment 347619

Ok, yes he did show a lot of promise and I was high on him, many of us were. Just frustrated how things turned out and will admit it’s not all his fault. Was expecting improvement, but so many mistakes and bad throws lately. FWIW, if he goes elsewhere and does good on another team I will be happy for him.

Uh…. Genius… what they do/did in college is important. Otherwise how do base where to draft someone. Mac was fantastic. There’s a reason he was drafted in the 1st round. He was runner up for rookie of the year. Went to a Pro Bowl. He was a good QB. When you have zero talent on offense what can he do? When he has coaches who are morons what can he do? And like someone else on here said, I hope he goes somewhere else and sticks it to the Patriots.
I’m frustrated so … yes overreacting and blaming Mac for everything is not fair. He did show a lot of promise in first year. For sure, conditions for his development have not been ideal. Just hoping things improve looking into the future.

Like we’ve all said.. there is plenty of blame to go around. Mac has made some dreadful passes/ decisions. I don’t want him back. He’s a shell of himself now.

Dude I like you and respectably disagree. Mac was a good QB as shown in his rookie year. BB gave him Patricia and Judge , 2 jerkoffs like him that think their word is everything, and smartest people in the room. Ever have a job where you have 3 bosses in 3 years, they give you tools from the 70's to work with and they have you go home early 5 x to have some scrub come in and produce less? Your confidence would be shot and a QB's is way more important than a regular job. Kid got benched 4 times this year for a sceub like Zappe+
Yeah Sonny, there is a lot of truth in what you say. It’s hard to not be pissed off. Years going by and team is stuck in the mud. Just a lot of things going wrong. Obviously, it’s not all on Mac.

Zappee and the other backups would never even make my son's High School team, BB should be shot

Bro BB gave him butter knives to go into a gun fight, you saw Brady's last year. His best receivers were Welker who was a kick off specialist that 2 teams cut and Welker who was a QB in college, Gronk was great who he wanted to trade to Detroit for his bestie Fatricia. @& million a year and BB has put out the worst football I have seen in my 58 years

Yep, the decline started when Brady was still there, not his fault of course. Coaching has been very stubborn. Many half ass weapons for years now. Still think there was some talent picked up, but the coaching has not been up to par, not getting the best out of players, with a few exceptions.

BB is his father's Navy coach. This isn't pre- 90's where defense wins games. Philly, KC, Dallas etc have half ass Ds but great QB's and weapons on O

We need something like a body builder emoji for posts that take that much effort to build. I've seen you accuse others (maybe it's just one other :) ) of not doing their homework - and damn nobody can accuse you of the same....

The Patriots ruined Mac Jones. In college his confidence/accuracy/leadership were fantastic. 41 touchdowns to 4 interceptions in his senior year.

450 yards and 5 touchdowns his senior year in the National Championship Game.

I know his wr’s in college are better than what he has now. He’s literally a shell of himself. Shame on you Belichick for not trying hard enough to get decent players around him.

Ryan Leaf was great in College.
Rick Mirer was great in College.
JaMarcus Russell was great in College.
Matt Leinart was great in College.
Johnny Manziel was great in College.
Brady Quinn was great in College.
Mitchell Trubisky was great in College.
Heath Shuler was great in College.
Vince Young
Joey Harrington
Tim Couch
David Klingler - once threw 11 touchdowns as well as 730 passing yards (both records) in a college game

etc. etc. etc.....

... worst judge of QB talent I have ever seen
Lets review:
Kingsbury. Drafted and cut a year later due to an arm injury. Obviously super smart as he has gone from college HC to NFL HC.
Cassel. Drafted as a backup and went on to have a very successful career.
O'Connell. Mobile QB, not great but again, is now an OC, could be in line for a HC position.
Garoppolo. Often injured but otherwise a very successful career. A game winner who has brought his team to the Super Bowl.

Honorable mention to Hoyer who was undrafted but has seen success as a starter for a number of different teams and is still in the league.

Let me ask which HC or GM has drafted as many QB's that have had gone on to do as well as Bill?

The reason that BB doesn't draft WRs is because he has a negative attitude toward most of them. IMO, I think he sees them as cocky and immediately thinks that they will be counter to his 'way'..

He and several other coaches and GMs openly stated that Metcalf was "too muscular" to be a WR in the NFL.

AJ Brown was a super soph, but was actually outshined by teammate DK (DeKaylis) Metcalf and declared nor the NFL as a junior (2018 )after signing a professional contract with the SD Padres in HS before attending Ole Miss. Most pro scouts had pretty much ignored him because his performance had fallen off so severely after winning the Connelly Trophy as the best football player in Mississippi in 2017.

Other than TB12, Bill has never drafted a decent QB. Deion Branch was very good but never a superstar. WRs have also been a severe weakness.

You can say whatever you want, but since the changes to playing defense against WRs and the rules limiting contact with QBs, Bill's defenses have had to adjust dramatically, while his ability to select the two most critical positions has not. One must also remember that it was BB's shutdown of the Colt's WRs and the league darling Peyton Manning that was the basis for the league making those rule changes.
He was able to make the defensive adjustments, yet for some unknown reason, has not been able to make the offensive adjusts to that defense.
If you can create such a defense, why is it that you can't figure out exactly how to beat it, by drafting and signinmg the exact opposites of it?
All to often the greatest WR's do not make the difference.

Sterling Sharpe, no Super Bowl.
Steve Smith Sr.
Andre Johnson
Andre Reed
Charlie Joiner
Lance Alworth
Cris Carter
Chad OchoJohnson
Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Keyshawn Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Calvin Johnson
Steve Largent

etc etc.

It's not that Bill doesn't like WR's, but the laws of averages say that the Diva WR is not needed to win. A QB, an O line and a defense.

Those inside…. Like Fat Pat and Judge? Even Coach B doesn’t know much about offenses. What the fuck do they know? I’d be looking for outside advice too.

He had Brady. Why would he ever draft a QB early? Not many good QB’s get drafted after the 1st round.

Jimmy G and Brissett were good QB’s. Jones was very good his rookie year.
"No other QB I would rather have" Bill Belichick.

Any other year and Cassell would have been in the playoffs with 11 wins.
Any Other Year.
