Game Thread: 2023 Lions regular season game thread

What I’m looking for in this game is a straight up clean effort and win from the Lions. No trickeration, no being a magician, just a clean game from all three phases. Make the opposition think there’s something sneaky while executing a straightforward game.

Save all that razzle dazzle for another day; with the way they’ve been playing, they probably don’t need it today.

I am pumped. It has felt that many people have just been looking past the Bucs and that has me concerned. I am hopeful!

Defense is bringing it for both teams. Glad to see the Lions put up the first points, even if it was a FG. Let’s see if our D can keep it clean while applying the pressure. Those flags helped when they were going against Tampa, the Lions don’t need to give them any help.

Now it’s time for the Lions D to shine again. That drive looked pretty solid from the O.

Had to smile hearing them go out to commercial playing Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life.” Saw him at Masonic Temple in the 80’s. Fun times.

That’s the first bad whiff I’ve noticed by the Detroit Defense. It’s allowed Tampa a little life, and they’ve crossed the fifty.
