Florida is 25-5-2 since December 21st. They are still the best team in the Nhl with 43 wins and 90 points. Well, two of those five regulation losses are to us, amazingly. That's a pretty big statement, to me.

Now, why we can't sack up and beat our division rivals, I still don't know...Lol

Biggest game of the year...

0 - 7

When both teams have something to play for we lose every time. That's why the division record is so bad. Those games have more meaning.

Not a good sign for the playoffs.

Pretty sure going into FLA , TMP games, we’d be happy with 2 pts out of it.

Laid an egg, but Tampa was out for blood after the 6-2 drubbing in Phila.

Florida wasn't trying and Tampa was.

Too many injuries on defense. Idk how you can even win an Nhl game when dressing only 5 defensemen, 3 of which who were really not regulars for us this season. So, we were relying heavily on Sanheim/York and it didn't go well right away.

Torts suspended two games!? That's pretty fucking harsh.

The Nhl really fucking hates us. It's a bit much.

The good news is that our rivals out of Shitsburgh are done. They've lost 6 out of 7 in regulation and have been outscored 15-1 in just their last three games. Sure, they're not mathematically out, but I see zero chance of them recovering from that, especially after selling at the deadline.

Also, the Devils are hanging on by a thread and have a vicious 4 game road trip upcoming. I'd say they are also done.

The Caps are still in it, 5 points back of us with 3 games in hand, but they sold too at the deadline. They have a 5 game western Canada swing beginning Monday.

The bad news is that the Isles are coming. 5 straight wins and they are up 3-1 on the Ducks in CA right now. They are only 2 points back with 2 games in hand if they hold on.

We absolutely have to beat San Jose on Tuesday and we shouldn't take them lightly either. They actually beat us early on in the season.

The next 3 weeks have 10 games with 8 that are really tough. Time to step up and go for it!
Its the make or break part of the season. I really hope we hold on to a playoff spot. It would be nice to see these guys who worked their butts off all season make it into the playoffs

I missed this game and i have 2 questions:

How awesome was it that Torts wouldn't leave and after getting tossed for sticking up for the team?

How do you guys think having no Torts the next few games will effect us?
I don't think it will be a huge deal, we're at the go for it part of the season so IMO it's on the players. They all know where Torts stands on things so they shouldn't be lost without him. He just needs to get Atkinson off the ice as much as possible.

I read an interesting take on Tort's ejection. He made the focus on him to help take the spotlight of the shitty games and his players. Probably a combination of a few things but that probably factored in.

Things like this and developing players for this organization i can see why we hired him and hopefully will keep him for four years. Lots of former players talk very highly of him. I guess that's how you get 500 plus wins in the NHL.

On top of all of this, Tampa was celebrating the Stanley cup that torts won with them. So Tampa schedules this when torts is in town and he goes off and gets ejected supporting his here and now team.

I’m not a torts fan, but gotta say I’m coming around - and this out me over the hump.

So the Isles, Craps and Debbie's lost last night. We need this 2 points tonight. Gotta play against the sharks like their the Panthers.

We owe these MoFos from San Jose for beating us earlier in the year when they were like 0-10. A nice 4-1 victory will be fine by me.

Couts hasn't done anything on the offensive end in weeks. The game is being played so much faster than he is skating.
