2023-24 Flyers: What's new is old again.

Couts hasn't done anything on the offensive end in weeks. The game is being played so much faster than he is skating.

He's had a few stand out games this season, but nothing he has done so far has been overly impressive to me. His play has been average to a bit above average IMO.

Not a very convincing or pretty win, but its 2 points nonetheless. Let's face it, realistically the next 7 games are going to be our season. Please Lord let Seeler come back and please take Staal out of the line up!

AS in the past, Flyers played down to their opponent. Difference is that they still won the game. The energy seemed to be lacking at times last night. Can't wait for Torts to get back.

I agree 100%.

Hopefully we play a lot better than we did last night in our next seven games.

I do realize its tough to play without Seeler Drysdale Risto and Walker so our forwards need to be extra dilligent in the defensive end.

We also need way more discipline and stay out of the penalty box.

Getting into the penalty box seems to be on the rise. Even with a good PK, not a good idea to take bad penalties.

The flyers are 12-10-1 without Brink in the lineup and 21-14-7 with him. Sounds like Torts needs to swallow some pride instead of Atkinsons nuts.

That kid Brink is all hustle all the time. He still needs some work but he's a way less liability than Atkinson or Staal.

The Wings and Caps are slipping out of the playoff race here fast. If they vanish, we're in, because that leaves only 4 teams in each division left to make it. Nobody else is close enough. Actually, a lot of the teams below us in the Metro are losing. NJ and Pitt are done. 10-11 points back is too far, even with a couple games in hand. Too little, too late for Buffalo also.

Everyone still in the race or close is playing tonight. This is tough, but with 2 of the next 3 games against them, we have to figure out how to beat Toronto in Philly. They are 19-7-6 on the road.

Yep. The Flyers remain in position six in the EC. Not too shabby for an early return to the post-season in Torts tenure.
