Nope! Looks like the Flyers are back to losing!
Actually played a decent game but Cates couldn't get it out of the magnetic blueline cost them the game. Tippett didn't help by icing it at the end when all he had to do was skate it out. Rookie errors tonight.

That was such an exciting game i think everyone from top to bottom played well.

We just couldn't put that 3rd goal in with all of our solid chances.

I can say with full confidence that this team as currently constructed will not have that ten game losing streak. A few injuries to critical players or a couple major trades at or near the deadline could change that, but with vets like Couturier, Atkinson, Hathaway, Deslauriers and yes, even Farabee/Hart healthy and playing, we will remain competitive and more consistent.

The rest of these young guys need to learn how to melt a game away defensively, offensively or at least play with the lead. Too much high risk and low reward play and we can't score the goal that puts a team away, especially against quality opponents.

Brink has all the intangibles to be a very good all around player.
It doesn't hurt that he's wearing #10, but yes, I am very partial to Bobby Brink. He's starting to pile up points and is still a plus player that is clearly very unselfish and team-oriented. Shout out to my childhood idol, Johnny LeClair!! :thumb::10:

Man you better not have jinxed it! In reality, except for the size of his contract, I wouldn't care if he never suited up again for this squad. To bad you just can't buy people out of their contracts.

His resume is a lot more impressive than people think. Watched him all the time playing for DU, he has a uncanny ability to slip into open spots and find the puck.

i know you hate him and always will but he played very good for us last season (maybe our best defenseman) and i was hoping he'd do the same this year. :suds:

And I stand by that comment, he and Seeler were the best players defensively last season on a shitty team. Since we're now officially going with a younger rebuild, I'd rather see younger kids in that role being developed.

Silayev has come out of the gates soaring, being an important part of a successful Torpedo organization in the KHL as a 17-year-old. Silayev is a unique type of prospect. He’s a 6-foot-7 defenseman who skates well, is mean as hell, and is already a very strong defender at the KHL level. He is also on a KHL power play at a young age, and he can move pucks quite well. The offensive touch in his game has developed quickly, but I believe it’s legit, and for those reasons I think Silayev has legit NHL star defenseman upside and deserves to be discussed right at the top of this draft class.

Silayev seems like he'd be a fun prospect to draft! Pronman's #2.
