The foundational progress that Briere and Torts have put in place is slowly but surely getting us out of the shithole we were in with those lunatics of Hextall and eff-ups upChuck!! Expectations were non-existent for the Philadelphia Flyers entering 2023-24, but the team is holding its own.

For some the high expected goal rate (the new standard for analytics) would be their favorite stat but my favorite stat in this article is skating distance for Couts. It means his feet are moving all the time and when he does that he is a top level player. When he glides around he is just an everyday player. Hopefully he keeps it up and keeps leading the way in this category.
