Was Al Pacino trying to be funny? Was he drunk? Is he losing it? All 3? Whatever.. his presentation of the Best Picture award was weird af. It was a good year for movies though, imo. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the nominees I've seen and I've seen most of them. All of the winners were legit too imo, though Poor Things was my favorite for best picture. It was a good show overall... best one in many years.

I watched Poor Things with the wife Saturday night. Had no clue anything about it going in. Really fucking weird movie. That being said, Emma Stone in topless for like half of it so yea....

Topless and its basically a softcore porno for some scenes. The rest is just kind of a weird spin one a Frankenstein/Bride of Frankenstein type story. It's okay, but definitely made in the way that would be clear Oscar bait and they bit hard.

He's always been sort of an oddball. I've heard that the confusion wasn't entirely his fault as they decided not to announce the nominees for best picture and also best song, the thinking being that everyone already knew what they were because clips and performances for each were shown throughout the show. That was a very bad idea imo. But all there was for him to do was announce the winner. It was probably better that he didn't have to read all of the nominees because he was barely capable of just announcing the winner.
