@saddles would you say, collectively speaking, this is the most important season in franchise history, from a minors developmental standpoint?
Definitely. The depth we have this year is far greater than I have ever seen and we have the stars, Semien and Seagar, already in the fold. The chance of multiple guys from this crop being successful is high with so many guys in that mix. That is true both from the positional side and from the pitching side. The need for multiple guys to be successful is great with those stars already signed. With so many possibilities I believe the need will certainly be met.

If we can have 4 or 5 position guys stay healthy and keep doing well we will be in great shape lineup-wise. If just Winn, Leiter and White do the same we will be in great shape pitching-wise. We have a great chance to develop an ace and a #2. Anything beyond that would be icing on the cake. I do think Roby and Vanasco will vault themselves into the picture if they stay healthy this year.

I was worried about the front office mindset after the signings, but they have calmed my fears completely by not going after other free agents or making big trades this spring. They have a blueprint and it looks like the final product has a chance at greatness.

Things are looking up
Ready to see a mostly homegrown roster tearing it up at the MLB level.

Did we make a mistake in judgement of Hanser Alberto?

I can't blame the Rangers. Maybe some of us were a little quick, but the Rangers were patient enough I believe.
