From Jeff Wilson:

All of you roster gurus should put a circle around Saturday. That’s the first day Article XX(B) free agents can opt out of their minor-league deals.

Who’s an XX(B)/B-20 free agent? Any veteran player who finished last season but came to camp as a non-roster player. Matt Carpenter, Charlie Culberson, Jake Marisnick, Matt Moore and Greg Holland are the five in Rangers camp.

The new collective bargaining agreement made it so that those free agents have three outs: five days before Opening Day (there are games next Thursday, the day before the Rangers’ opener), May 1 and June 1.
there is a strong probability that at minimum 3 of those are added to the roster and possibly a 4th. the only one i can't see is Moore he just ain;t git it any more

Of the 5 non-roster guys, I really don't see a need to keep anyone besides Holland, and I think we could manage without him.

White, Vanasco and Roby all start the season at Hickory. Englert makes a great 4th starter there. That is going to be a great rotation.

Leiter, Kent, and Bradford at Frisco along with Duran and Harris.

"Outside of Bradford and Kent, the pitching staff will feature many familiar names to Riders fans. Former first-round pick LHP Cole Ragans and 2021 Opening Day-starter RHP Tim Brennan return as likely starters. In the bullpen, LHP Tyler Thomas, RHP Chase Lee, RHP Fernery Ozuna, RHP Grant Anderson and RHP Tai Tiedemann are all back as Riders as well."

"The talented newcomers who will most likely be on the starting staff include LHP Avery Weems, who came over to the Rangers from the White Sox as part of the Lance Lynn trade in 2020, and RHP Justin Slaten, who hails from Longview, Texas, and is a former third-round selection."

I guess Mitch Bratt will stay in Arizona for awhile. I didn't see an assignment for him.

@saddles would you say, collectively speaking, this is the most important season in franchise history, from a minors developmental standpoint?
