If we get a 3-4 reasonable signing of Story I want him. A contract like Corea with the opt outs. No

Would have rather had Suzuki. But I do think LF or CF might work for Story.
I just have to think Houston offers the best chance for him unless TX make a competitive offer

I only want Story if it’s for 4+ years
Wouldn’t make sense to do a 1-2 year deal..
unless that 1-2 year deal was with full thought of extending him and story not wanting to get wrapped up to long..

If he can’t get a 6-7 year deal now he’ll probably want a 1-2 and try to get a 5-6 year deal at 31.

The game really stunk today. Hope it wasn’t on tv.

The Blue Jays have one of baseball’s most dangerous lineups, though their projected starting nine tilts heavily to the right side. Cavan Biggio is the only left-handed hitter set to receive everyday action in Toronto’s lineup, and even Santiago Espinal is expected to spell Biggio when southpaws are on the mound. With this in mind, the Jays continue to look into left-handed hitters, with Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi writing that the club has shown interest in Michael Conforto, Joc Pederson, Brad Miller, and former Jay Corey Dickerson.

Going to another day of Story watch, just going to put out there, while Story would be a great addition to ant team, he is surely at first glance not s great fit with the Rangers.

We could use an elite CF. If he can morph into that CF then we got another Story. Sic

Well darn, wonder if the Rangers switch their focus to the trade front now.
Austin Meadows?

it's a little weird. he can opt out after 4 years, but Boston can void out the opt out by involving a 7th year option at 20M

Well how about that

Gammons said his arm issue would make it tough to go to 2B

So they both have leverage
Seems fair

wish we had a 50 or 60 man roster instead of a 40 but rules are rules.
It is nice to have such a deep farm system.
It’s still a head scratcher to me why Crim isn’t even listed in the top 30 Rangers prospects..
he has hit at every single level, hasn’t had 1 down year. Performed well at AA.

thoughts on Michael Conforto?
I’ve kind of hoped we could get him relatively cheap since he had a down year.
5/90 with a 6th year vesting option?
I don’t believe the team is so loaded that he would block prospects.
The only true long term heavy hitters we have are Semien and Seager.
Jung could and should hopefully be 1
Nate Lowe and Avisail Garcia are still question marks going forward..
that leaves 1B, DH, LF, CF and RF still kind of up in the air.
That’s 5 spots open with about 4-6 really good prospects that could fill the void if we got extremely lucky and the majority panned out..unlikely.
