I wonder what kind of return we could get for Leody Taveras, Trevor Hauver, Cody Bradford and Owen White.
With Eli White, Adolis and now Marisnick I think Leody could be expendable

For the most part, our IF is a much improved. The OF is a huge concern. Both Calhouns have a record of injury and on top of that neither are top notch defensive wise. Now, imagine if Adolis is hurt and can't play, we will be in very bad shape. We must solve this problem as time is running out but we still have one more year to find the answer. Did I not mention the other concern, PITCHING.

Not even in a trade ?

Well, anyone can be had for the right price, but if they are going to explore a trade, I prefer to wait until midseason when a better deal could be made.

let me add: the idea is that 2023 is when this team could legitimately begin to start contending for the postseason. I don't think the Rangers need to completely shore up all the issues they have before starting this season. Midseason 2022 (trades), the draft, and next offseason (signings/trades) are what I'm considering the timeframe for the FO to finish putting things together for a sustained window of competitiveness.

Keep in mind we have youngsters arriving from 2022-2024 that are expected to be key contributors to that window. Some of our current concerns will be addressed by them.

Agree. Rushing now could be costly. Also, a top notch OF'er will not come cheap and lots of teams are likely preying on our young pitching propects. Now is not the time to rush in to things. Walk lightly and carry a big stick, quote the KID.

got the heavy lifting done early.
They could of done better. Instead they went back to the way they have doing business for the last 3 years. Instead signing a bunch of players that are at the end of their careers, sign one good player. Marin Perez and Matt Moore was a waste money.

If Trevor Story can’t find a team willing to pay him well to play short stop maybe the Rangers can pay him well to play 3B.

i think he has turned down two offers to play 3rd
Maybe he would play 3B for his home town team but no one else.
I know the Mariners reportedly offered him to play 3B and maybe the Rangers did too and he’s just waiting to see if a SS position comes available at a high price
