I wish they would have stayed with 3 weeks and an unlimited number of players that. And be activated from IR. Better then the old rules of 8 weeks on IR and only 2 activations.

I do like the ability to elevate players off the practice squad. Best way to develop players is to get them playing time.

The Edge rusher room is pretty crowded - Chubb, Gregory, Bonitto, Browning, Cooper, Reed, Aaron Patrick and Christopher Allen. A lot of people think Reed would be traded as the odd man out while having trade value. Chubb on the last year of his contract might also be a trade target

Safety is another well stocked position which could yield some trade value. Oddly the Oline is another place that has extra NFL players.

I heard somewhere that Caden Stearns is getting some CB reps - which is interesting.

We now know Nathaniel Hackett will be the next HC. The coordinators have yet to be hired, but the OC doesn't matter as Hackett will run his system and the DC seems likely to reaming a 3-4 based on the canidates. I am probably wrong, but for this I am going to assume the defense will remain a 3-4.

We have had some conversations on trading for a QB, specifically Rodgers. I think it is easy to we need a QB so trade for Rodgers or Wilson, or not wanting to give up several picks and players. I think we need to look at were the roster is at, and what can we trade and still be competitive this year. The roster Below is per Spotrack.com.

So if I am looking out the roster we have the following needs:
  • QB - Need to add another player or 2 via trade, FA, or draft
  • RB - Need to add better depth through FA or draft
  • TE - Need a blocking TE from FA or draft
  • Oline - RT potentially, reed to increse depth across all positions through FA or draft
  • DLine - Increase Depth in FA or draft
  • OLB - Upgrade starter and increase depth
  • CB - Need more players and depth across the board
  • S - Increase depth if available
It is a tough descision what makes this team better. George has some tough decisions to make.

Wow, how bad is that lineup compared to what is going to happen in week one?? It has been a great off season by Paton.

The Broncos will be much improved this season, but could there possibly be a more deflating potential to contemplate than the possibility they could lose game one to Drew Lock?

Losing game 1 to Drew is not an unreasonable out come for several reasons;
  • The Seattle coaching staff knows Russ better then any in the league.
  • Lots of emotion for Russ going back to Seattle.
  • Several ex-Broncos on a revenge tour.
  • Inexperienced coaching staff.
  • Potential hick ups with installing the new systems on offense and defense.
That being said I think Denver still is the better team, but we will have to see who is the better team on 9/12.

Glad to see Max Borghi RB Wash. St. get a shot as a local Colorado kid who can catch and run the football.

Reading good things about Ojemudia - Kendal Hinton - Dalton Risner - Aaron Patrick - and Browning.

Read a comparison of Borghi to McCaffrey. Christian, that is. Oh look, here’s one…

Scott will have to give us a report on him. From the video, looks like he has great speed getting to outside. Looks like a natural receiver. Feet seem a little janky when he gets into his stutter step, not particularly a fluid runner.
