Ten of the 16 players can have no more than two accrued seasons. The other six players don't have any limitations, which means veterans can be on the practice squad.
Thanks. That's valuable info.

Are PS players still eligible to be snagged by other teams?

Of course, Bill and Bob often give the PS guys contracts that keep them on the Patriots squad and under Bill's control. "Oh sure, Harry Nutz is available. No.no, no. A seventh rounder won't cut it. The kid is a stud and will be a starter next year for me. He'll be a starter for you this year. Ho about a third rounder. That' s a deal, a 2023 fourth and seventh and you have Harry Nutz."

I agree with most of what you said. Cajuste I think still has that potential and is the last OL we carry.

I would carry Cowart and Wade over Davis and Bethel. We have plenty of speed and tacklers to handle ST duties.

I won't lose sleep over it. But without evaluating them day in and day out, that would be my 53.
You always like to dump or special teams players!
He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2018 by the Chargers and has been with them since. Are you sure he's PS eligible?
He has only played in 2 games

Before we all get pissed off over nothing, let's wait to see how things look once preseason starts.

QUESTION: Are any of you considering going to the final preseason game in Las Vegas??

If anyone is interested, respond here. if there's enough interest, I see what I can do about getting tickets together and some discount rates at one of the hotels on th main strip. Might be a fun way to end the summer and meet face to face. If there's enough positive response I'll start a thread and maybe we can meet up with some Raiders fans and really make it a SportsHoopla event.

The opening of the 2022 Training Camp is a bit over two weeks away. I’ve spent the past couple of days looking at the Patriots’ roster and decided to evaluate the team by position. Then I started making my selections about who I thought might make the 53 man roster. So here goes (Keepers in bold).

The more I look at this team, the more I'm beginning to like the looks of it. Faster, Younger and even a bit tougher.

LS Joe Cardona, Ross Reiter

ST Matthew Slater, Cody Davis, Justin Bethel, Marcus Jones

True. Slater is a different animal. I just hate wasting a roster spot on a guy who 90+ percent of the time only plays STs. Good for the player he's on an NFL team. But, the way injuries pile up...

In BB we trust. It's been working for him.

I would go.

I'm planning on it and the wife is a huge fan and is excited as hell about going to a new stadium.

I was in Vegas three weeks ago and drove by the stadium. It's something for sure. We're thinking of going to the regular season game in December but have paused on buying tickets because they're stupidly expensive.

Supposedly there are100 tickets available in the club section 103 behind the Patriots bench. Tickets are $222 each plus taxes and fees. I'm guessing that would put them near $300. Plenty of nosebleeds at anywhere between $50-$80 plus fees.

At most there are 10 seats in one row a bit cheaper near the 10 on the other side of the Pats bench.

I don't really like people, nor crowds, so I will never attend any game

I like travelling to other venues to watch the Patriots.
Having just left the desert, I'm not going back!
The Raiders stadium looks like Darth Vader when you drive by......

The desert has an odd appeal and the Sunrise and Set can be amazing

Andrews stings because he would be coaching up a potential rookie guard.

He can still "coach him up"
Going to PUP to start the season is not unusual. Many players have to get in "play shape"
Maybe he showed up underweight?
Yeah it would just be a plus if he could game some preseason game time exp together.

IMO.............................................

Cajuste has never come close to living up to what we were all led to believe he was. Even working with Scar, he couldn't be a dependable back up.
I think strange will be on the left and Owenue on the right. Hambright and Hines will get a lot of playing time.

I hate tying up four spots too. Marcus Jones is going to do the returning unless he screws up. Slater is what he is and is the ST Captain. Davis and Bethel are both outstanding and play DB in a pinch. Both could be replaced by potential future starter.

Cowart and Wade are victims of the numbers. Who would you dump to keep them?
Cowart is cut
