Happy for this signing.

"Judge utilized Peppers in a variety of roles on the defense. In 2020, he lined up mainly in the box (383 snaps) and as a slot cornerback (264) to go with free safety (143), defensive line (77) and outside cornerback (44). That was his best season, statistically, when he finished with a career-high 91 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 11 passes defended and an interception. Last year, in six games, Peppers mainly played slot cornerback (107) followed by in the box (60), defensive line (32), outside cornerback (19) and free safety (11)."

#metoo.

Seems like a really good signing and good fit though I wonder why we went with one year instead of a little longer? Seems BB does that more than other teams and I'm not sure of the reason.

Prove-it deals are good for both - if they prove-it.
Signing for 2 years, players confident about their abilities may not want to play on the cheap for 2 years.

I would think Jabril is confident that he'll be a valuable addition to Patriots and that we'll have more money next year!

Peppers deal even better than it sounds. It is $2 million plus incentives. The incentives will be classified as not likely to be earned.
Won't count on cap this year.

Dolphins trade WR Parker to Patriots

Parker, 29, was rumored to be on the trading block after Miami added Tyreek Hill in a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs and former Dallas Cowboys receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. in free agency. With 2021 top 10 pick Jaylen Waddle also on the roster, Parker's $8.74 million and $9 million salary cap hits in the next two seasons made him tough to keep buried on the depth chart.
In New England, Parker joins a wide receiving corps that also includes Jakobi Meyers, Nelson Agholor, and N'Keal Harry.
Parker was a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but struggled to find consistent production until he broke out with 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019. His numbers tailed off again, though, and he finished the 2021 season with 515 yards and two touchdowns while dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out for seven games.
The Philadelphia Eagles were reportedly among the other teams interested in a trade to acquire Parker.

You could see this one coming. They have billions in WR salary and Devontae was the odd man out.
I can see him being extended immediately.

"At this point, it feels like Parker would be worth more but not a whole lot more. Miami may be able to get a mid-round pick for the wideout. If they got a third, they’d probably be lucky. It feels more likely that they could receive a fourth or fifth-round selection."

His current contract year is cheap but next year is a #9 million cap hit. We would likely void that.
None of his contract is guaranteed! $0. We can cut him in preseason with $0 lost and the #3 becoming a #5 is a difference of roughly 60 places.

N'Keal is still here and trades are being discussed - again.....
Harry was ranked at #25 for 2019!
We stole him at #32

From his draft profile: Hopefully, other teams don't read this!

has some limitations for the NFL due to a lack of speed. He will never be a separation receiver who can get open against NFL cornerbacks. He is going to constantly struggle to find space from man coverage, as the defenders will be able to run with him easily and keep him from getting open. Thus, he won't be a threat to stretch the field with speed, he will struggle to get open underneath, and he is not explosive enough to get separation via route-running.

If Harry were faster, he would be a first-round pick, but his speed limitations make him more of a second-day prospect and likely a No. 2 receiver in the NFL.

Team sources call Harry not real twitchy or explosive. They worry about how he is not fast in and out of breaks and don't see suddenness. Some sources said that Harry reminded them of Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell, who is currently headed toward bust status

To think we allowed DK Metcalf sneak by. Luck of the draw I guess.

Coming out of school you could've easily taken one over the other. Too bad BB took the wrong one or we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Patriots resigned DT Carl Davis.

This article has a ton of 7 Rounds of positional picks that are interesting if not outright funny.

You're right, interesting but I shook my head at their logic for picking WR's.
I think the author started with: BB can't pick receivers so lets look for crippled losers with bad hands!

The big question remains! When will Harry's 5th year option be voided!
Must be done today!
