Bob Stoops retired early because he was sick of that stuff, and admitted that incident took a lot out of him. I thought Mixon shoukd have been kicked out and said so at the time. Stoops actually said that it would have been handled differently a couple years later and said it wasnt handled right.

Richard Jefferson just said something on ESPN that sums up what I mean about Wembentana being the most hyped player ever. He said if Lebron were in this draft at the same age, even with people knowing how good he was going to be, that Wembenyama would go ahead of him. The hype is just beginning.

Because you can't teach 7'4.

Injury or stupidity are this kids only obstacles.

I remember him saying he was a Giannis/KD hybrid.

The NBA can suspend/Fine a player for various reasons.

Article 24 is their catch all.

Doesn't have to be on the court.

They just fined Edwards for quasi-gay bashing.

Punching another player falls under the umbrella, especially when its on video.

Under Article 24 of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Constitution, the NBA commissioner has the power to hand down disciplinary actions (either suspensions or fines less than $60,000) on players for on-court incidents, conduct that does not conform to standards of fair play, conduct that does not comply with federal or state laws, and conduct that is detrimental to the game of basketball or the league.

I'm just going by what Silver was reported to have said. It's not the first time he has claimed he didn't have authority to do something.

From everything I saw reported, the league typically stays out of fights in practice and leaves it up to the team.

Gay bashing isn't 2 teammates getting heated and fighting in practice. If the league took action every time there was a fight in practice, half the teams or more would have guys getting punished. Especially during training camp. lol

Technically, the league doesn't have jurisdiction over things that happen in practice. That's up to the team.

Will the league try to take action based on the video being leaked and will the union let them?

Also, who leaked the video?

And that's true in just about any occupation. I used to work in sales. A top sales rep could get away with a lot of shit that an average sales rep couldn't.

PJ worked for the Team, not the league.

The League suspended Sprewell.

So, yeah...they have jurisdiction.

I suspect if/when the team suspends him that is doing the league's job anyway
