Yeah, but you can’t assume your teammate is going to punch you in the face.

That is wrong.

You're right. It's hindsight. However, there are some ignorant people saying that Poole should've known it was coming and that he was a fool for not having his hands up. These people also point to Poole's push as an action that Poole should've known would lead to a Draymond punch.

Does anyone seriously think Draymond and Jordan aren't going to move past this? I know Robotech will never get over it, but I don't think it matters to Poole. Obviously I don't know this for sure.

Come playoff time this will be completely forgotten.

LOL..wishful thinking from a blind homer.

Yep all this new media talk bs he was riding with a few months ago. He better discuss the situation on his next pod

He was recording podcasts during the NBA Finals, but I guess he's too busy right now.

Gave Kobe that 2 piece and a biscuit....lol

LOL. Classic NBA fight. Kobe throws a light elbow, which causes Childs to throw a couple light punches that do nothing. And then Kobe proceeds forward to throw a couple light punches. Next time, Draymond needs to throw those kind of punches, not a superman punch.

Yeah, I disagree with the notion Poole should have “known what was coming”.

Once Dray got in his face and Poole pushed him, a return punch is always a possibility which is why I don’t think it is fair to paint Poole as completely defenseless victim. He should have known a further escalation by Draymond was a possibility.

But suggesting that Poole should have swung first to avoid the possibility of Draymond clocking him is just incredibly wrong.

As a teacher, I am floored with how often parents give this type of advice to their children.

“If he is mean to you, then punch him in the face. That will teach him”.

That type of advice gets grown ups thrown in jail.

Only reason Draymond isn’t going to catch a charge is because competitive sports play by different rules than society.

But in no way shape or form is the aggressor of a fight like this in right.

To be clear, I do not think this fight will be a big deal in the long run for GS, but it really all depends on how Draymond and Poole respond.

Based on what I have seen from both, I have little reason to believe it will create a long term issue. But it certainly could.

Maybe he should've known that Draymond might punch him, but I really do think he was surprised. We shouldn't focus on Poole, though. The problem here is Draymond and Draymond only. And I'm guessing that Poole doesn't want people to think of him as a victim anyway. It's probably embarrassing enough that he is the guy who got floored in a viral video.

Which is just another reason that video shouldn’t have been released.

I hope the Warriors fire whoever was responsible for it.
