The Schroder signing makes little sense because it now unbalances the roster to be heavy in the guard/backcourt category. The Lonnie Walker signing now makes no sense. Unless the Lakers are going to move Westbrook, the Schroder signing was simply out of sorts. BTW, supposedly the Spurs are garnering some interest in Westbrook but until I actually see the trade or trades, Westbrook will be in camp starting next week.

If the Spurs are interested, Lakers could dump some serious salary. Richardson/McDermott for Russ and 2 1sts would $22M.

Give up 2 1st rounders for that?

Doesn't make us a CONTENDER IMO.
Richardson I like, losing Westbrook I like, $22M in cap savings I live, McDermott meh.

That cap is going to require the 2nd pick I would guess, but who knows?

McD can shoot....we need a sniper....Not as good as Hield or Bog but at this point I just want RW gone.

Looks as though this thing may carry into the season. If Westbrook starts working in the backcourt and the Lakers keep winning, there will be no trade this year.

Couple things...

1. Lmao that you would give up two 1st for this. But, some fans are balking at doing the same for Bogdanovic and Beasley.

2. Why do you care about saving the Lakers luxury tax payments?

That 22 mil gets you just below the tax. It's not like you can sign a guy and it doesn't help you for next year.

I guess you could try to use the trade exception you'd receive.

Problem is, you would be giving up both your1st.

So, what are you going to use to get that player?

Ffs, just do the Utah trade....lol

Bogdo is better than McBuckets and Beasley is younger, probably better, than Josh....

Plus, they are guys you could keep if you don't land Krazy Kyrie.
