Minny and Cleveland are playoff teams so those picks in 22, 25, 26 and even 27 likely to be mid to late 1st’s.
He definitely got a lot of trade capital there at worst but players have to become available and want to go to Utah. Who wants to be in Utah?

They can still get more draft picks for some of those players and/or guys on the current roster. Gotta do something with the picks to WIN these trades though. Won’t know for a looong time

Vanderbilt and Mark are very nice role players but their ceiling seems limited.
Two unknown rookies.
Sexton could be an all-star caliber player.

We will see.

Cleveland is a playoff team for sure.

Minny is far from a lock this year, and it really gets interesting in 2 years when Towns is a free agent.

Could end up looking really bad 5 years from now.

Yea...minny isn't deep at all now so an injury to KAT or Edwards changes things

Cleveland can survive some dings moreso

Minnesota isn’t a lock even if they do stay healthy.

I would pick them to make it, but probably in the 6-7 range.

GS, Phoenix, Memphis, Denver and LAC all project to be better IMO, and not hard to envision teams like Dallas, LAL, NO or Portland passing them by.

Yah- I realize there is some real risk involved for the cavs- and trust me- I am a draft pick guy---- but with Mobley, Garland, Allen and Mitchell being so young- its hard for me to believe anything except the last pick or two has a chance to be a high quality pick.

If I was the Jazz I would have much rather grabbed the knicks picks and Barrett.

right now the best Cavs player is Mitchell without a doubt. He scored 50 in the playoffs last year- is 25 (soon to be 26) and has been to 3 all star games. Ithink guys hit their primes around 27-29 in the NBA for the most part and the Cavs will get his prime years at the very least.

If Mobley can move his timeline up and really take a step up in the next year or two the Cavs have a legit shot at winning a conference and getting to the Finals and then who knows.

Harden wont be in there forever in Philly and Embiid is not getting younger or less injury prone. Miami has their own age issues.

as currently constructed- I see the Celtics being the one team that could be a major obstacle to the Cavs- and maybe the Bucks but Middleton is a FA after this year and Holliday is not getting any younger either.

They Mobley and garland after sucking (like Utah will try to do) and then were smart to insert themselves into trades where they don’t belong (Danny loves this)

I think they’re on the same plan

They would be better off doing that deal with Dray instead of Klay but either way…clickbait

Very cool.

This isn't basketball related but it's worth mentioning. The Houston Texans have bought the Uvalde football team new uniforms and equipment.

Coach Lovie Smith & LB's Christian Kirksey and Kamu Grugier-Hill surprised the team ahead of their first home game.

For sure.

The Cavs have their core now in Mitchell, Garland, Mobley and Allen. Mobley will prob. end up being the best out of all of them- and that is saying something since Mitchell is a 25 year old 3 time all star that scored 50+ in playoff games.

mitchell will be the best player this year- but it would not surprise me within a couple years if Mobley passes him and who knows with Garland.

So much of the stuff I have listened to on the trade- so many people just cant help but talk about Mobley and how they expect him to bea fucking monster and one of the best players in the game by the time he gets close to his prime. He is like a rich mans Bam with balls.
Wont even surprise me if Garland is on his level and Mobley reaches it no later than the 23-24 season.

even with mitchell i still think they will have some cap space in the offseason--- or they could try and resign levert and or love.
Really curious to see what we do with Love. Couple years ago seemed obvious Love was gone as both parties wanted it to be over as soon as possible.

Now? Unless it's about location for him would think he'd prefer to stay. For us obviously depends if he can repeat last year's performance AND if there's a younger FA they think they could get to preferably be a stretch 4 or 3 and D wing and need to renounce Love's salary.

LeBron left Cleveland 4 years ago and the Cavs had little assets left, an old roster, and had traded a ton of assets, picks, etc. to compete while LeBron was there.

4 years later the Cavs have Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Jarret Allen, Isaac Okoro, Kevin Love, Caris LeVert, Ricky Rubio, Cedi Osman.

Look at so many other teams that just have not won anything and have not put together much of anything.

In 4 years the Cavs rebuilt after LeBron left the first time, and have done it again. That is an impressive job.
Yep...and that was with the Net pick dropping to 8 instead of top 1-3 like many figured.

Guess it may have helped we dropped to 5 the next year as who knows if we still take Garland at 3. I wonder.

Having both DM and Garland (and Rubio) believe we could survive an injury to one of them moreso than Allen or Mobley now. We need them for sure with the backcourt we have.

agree.....will say a couple years ago I might say a team like this Cavs team is a lock for top 3-4 but East is much better now so who knows? For sure barring a bunch of injuries are a playoff lock with a chance to move up to top 4.
