And once again the nets story isn't finished. Makes no sense to compare the 2 when group is done and the other isn't and can possibly have 2-3 seasons left at minimum. They can literally win 2 of the next 3 titles for all we do

Pretty sure I agreed that the Nets story isn't finished. But what I'm doing is comparing a team (the Nets) that were favored to win it all to a team (the Jazz) that were never favored to win it all in any season.

Because of that right now I say the Nets have to be the bigger disappointment.

Feel free to continue to disagree. But I'm not going to change my mind on this topic.

I just don't see how a team that was never favored to win it all can be a bigger disappointment than a team that was favored to win it all.

Me either

Why won't you explain why you think a Mitchell-led Jazz team that was never favored to win it all were a bigger disappointment than the KD/Harden/Kyrie led Nets that were favored to win it all last season?

Never said that. What i said is below and can easily be found
Nets story isn't finished yet so pointless to discuss. They can very well win it all this season

You said you wanna discuss how big of a failure the Mitchell-led Jazz were. They were never the favorites to win it all in any season. The Nets were. And they got swept.

Now that Mitchell is gone, let's discuss how big of a failure that Utah group was

You refuse to say why you think the Mitchell-led Jazz were a bigger disappointment than last years Nets. I'm curious why you say that.

And yes they could win it all this season. You like betting. I don't. So this isn't a bet. Just a question.

Who would you take to win it all the Nets or the field this season? I'd take the field.

I’d take the field against anyone

Source says he's eyeing a late season return.

my excitement level for the Cavs just went from extremely high to must watch every single night.

Cant wait to watch Mitchell, Garland, Mobley and Allen all starting. Should be so much fun

Yes and no.

Massive overpay for a player who isn’t that great.

But I think Ainge outsmarted himself here.

Fewer picks and lesser players from the Knicks would have eventually turned out better for Utah.

Cleveland going to be in the playoffs next few years.
I don’t think the cavs have been on the map since James left if you ask me. And this should definitely put them back on the map for sure

That's still better than the Cavs offer imo. Ainge must have been hellbent on not sending Mitchell to New York
The Knicks blow another trade but hey as a knick fan no shocker here. I’m use to that

The picks will be better. RJ @ $30M is not good value
yah - who knows how the picks will be

first one does not transfer until 2025- I would think that one would be pretty bad and its unlikely the pick swap in 2026 will be activated.

after that- who really knows? I think they will be bad- since Mobley, Allen, Garland Mitchell are all 25 or under but its so hard to say.

What the Cavs did was make a big move to add a great player to their roster

and as I said- the most important part of this deal is that- while the Cavs are much improved this season- next season, and the season after, they should only continue to improve.

I am sure the hope is that these 4 guys continue to improve and stay together for a long time and give the Cavs a 3-7 year contention window- but massive changes happen in the nba all the time.

I can say- it was a great move to go for it and gives the rest of the guys tons of confidence in themselves and the orginzation and the talent to compete with just about anyone.

How did they blow it if Utah kept saying No to really good offers?

The picks will be better. RJ @ $30M is not good value

I like RJ's prospects better than Sexton's though even with Sexton being cheaper
