Yep.

Maybe, they aren't tanking and just rebuilding on the fly.....

So what is the point of the Lakers doing that? I thought they were not going to make any deals for those Number Ones and Westbrook unless the returns made the Lakers significantly better such as a legit contender in the west?

Uhhh, if this is true, yes.

Ainge is a fucking criminal...lol

He was clearly just trying to extort teams.

New York’s picks will be more valuable too. RJ is what he is but he is still a valuable asset. Robinson could be their future center. Cavs made out compared to this offer imo

Really considering opening up a Ben and Jerry's pint of ice cream right now.

Wow utah is really dumb. This was better than the cavs trade

That's almost as dumb as the Lakers potentially turning down the Kyrie trade*

*Conflicting reports if the Nets offer was ever really on the table (Westbrook/2 firsts for Kyrie and one of Harris/Curry)

Actually, no. That is dumber. At least that is a confirmed offer. Utah is definitely dumb. The only thing they can cling to is maybe that Knicks package makes them good enough to take them out of the Wembenyama tank job. Like instead of winning 20 games with the deal they got, that Knicks package they win like 28.

For Lakers fans sake, I hope that Kyrie trade was a rumor and not something they could have sealed the deal on, but were left holding their dicks.

They are running out of options.

After the Mitchell trade, Winhorst said the Jazz are 1.7 million below the tax line.

That is horrible news for the Lakers.

There will be no Westbrook salary dump, unless equal salary goes out...to the Lakers or elsewhere.

There is zero chance they go into the tax.

My best friend in NY said locally there was a line of thinking there that Ainge didn't want Mitchell to get his wish to go to the Knicks. Trader Danny Ainge strikes me as the kind of petty guy that would trade him elsewhere.

I just don’t why people have shit on Sexton for awhile now and now “he’s as good as Mitchell”. We could do this comparison for many players

I always been a big fan of Sexton. I dont get the hate at all. Don't think he's good as Mitchell but really good player

Wow.

All 3 1st round picks are unprotected? Didn't realize they were all unprotected.

Plus the 2 pick swaps and 3 pretty good players.....

I have the same opinion. I have mixed feelings on the trade bc I felt like their biggest need was a two-way wing. Problem is those never become available.
Depending on what happens with Okoro, they will have between $20M-$27M to play with next season as well.
