One basketball. I fear this hinders the development of Mobley’s offensive game. Just one basketball and Garland and Mitchell both play better on the ball than off the ball.
Yeah but more worried about another smaller guard and less about ball dominant. Murray and Trae too but Murray is 6’5” and he can defend

No.

He's definitely BETTER.

But, they obviously overpaid.

Me personally, I would rather have Mitchell on a max.

I just would not give that kinda money to Sexton.

If they didn't, they would lose him for nothing.

Again: Overpay.

I'm not being a dick here...

But, it's Cleveland.

Starts weren't lining up to go there when they had Lebron.

So, they have to do what they have to in order to land a guy of Mitchell's caliber....even if he isn't a Superstar.

Did they overpay tho?

Maybe with the picks, but maybe they want to go all in on competing and our done drafting...They already may have 2 superstars as is

As far as Lebron, he rubs a lot of players the wrong way. Look what Curry said when he said he would love to play with GS lol

If it doesn't work out you can always trade players in reverse for lots of picks

Sexton isn't worth the max he wants...So having Michell is a clear upgrade imo just from that standpoint alone...The guy had a large win share on a playoff team.

Boston actually improved a team that went to the Finals.

Bucks have the best player in the NBA.

So, while I do believe you got better, not enough to pass those guys nor Philly...who also improved.
I'm not sure we did because I'm not sure how much better we will be. But IF we are better I could see us flirting for a 2 or 3 seed.

Mitchell-Allen-Mobley-Garland core shoots them up the EC ladder if the Cavs don't fuck it up. I can see them in the conference finals soon. Jazz aren't gonna be fun to watch for a minute but the draft picks will help over time.

How so? Sexton was a pretty efficient shooter from the floor.

Was just about to respond to him.

46% and 38% career.
Okay.....

I see where the disconnect comes from on our difference of opinion.

You guys are looking at the X's and O's only.

Am I the only one who remembers this shit?

I'm sorry.

But, its not a coincidence that they started playing good team ball when he was out.

Obviously, Mobley made the biggest difference.

But, Garland being the guy was a huge factor too.

Various Cavs players still grow frustrated by the way Sexton dominates the ball, and opponents taunt them by saying during games, “you know he’s not going to pass you the ball.”

And Mitchell is also ball dominant.

Probably not.

Luckily, they have 2 Mobley's and Allen to clean shit up at the rim.
That is the exact mindset he had with Gobert. Perhaps in the playoffs everyone will blame the wrong people again and Mitchell can keep skating by on half a game.

Boston
Philly
Milwaukee
BK

are all better.

Chicago and Toronto are also lurking as well.....the EC is pretty stacked.

They won nearly 50 games last year. I think they could get good quickly similar to how the Grizzlies did

Plus Sexton had a major injury, and has never really helped the team win. He shoots a lot at a low percentage. It was def a win as far as the trade.
You keep saying this but he was helping us win in the short time he played before his injury. I mean, they didn't win much before last season but they also did not have Mobley or LM. Love was usually hurt. 2 years prior Garland was among the worst players in the NBA. Also no Allen until after the 2020-21 season started.

In addition, he's an efficient shooter. Just say you don't like the kid....no reason to make things up about him that are factually incorrect.

Yeah, the East is stacked. Luckily the Cavs are one of the youngest teams of the teams competing. All their best players are 20-25. Interesting to see what they will do with Love.
Yep.

I was just thinking about the Celtics too.

Horford is old.

Gallo too.

Brogdon is in the middle.

The rest of their core is young.

That shit is scary...lol

Garland was among the worst players in the League?

Some of them don't.

I'm one of the folks who puts a lot of stock in the things Shams and Woj say.

Usually, they know their shit.

But, even those guys missed on this trade and Banchero going #1 overall.

Could be that the Jazz re engaged with the Cavs after the Knicks extended Barrett.

But, I also think both of our organizations have gotten a lot better at keeping stuff in-house.
I think most teams are good at keeping stuff in house. Really seems like most major deals are the ones no one saw coming.
