Warriors offered Bazemore a contract with more money and a defined role on the team. He declined to ride the bench for a non-playoff team. Hate to see it.

Nah. I lose if one of the 30 GMs in the league is dumb.

Gobert is fine

He isn’t the problem

The problem is the rest of the jazz are awful defensively

I'm really curious to see what contracts are in play for Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II this offseason.

I think 4 years 110M for Poole would be a good bargain for both sides.
GPII, I really have no idea. I don't know how teams around the league feel about his play. I think he'd be every bit the value at 7M a year. But he could command higher...

It’s a lot of money tied up in a player that can’t get anything other than put backs

To be fair, his role on the Lakers was defined. He just wasn't very good at it and fell out of the rotation.

It actually could have been a bigger role because of all of the injuries, He just didn't play well.

But have to consider his role was also not ideal because of the players around him too. Just team structure wasn't beneficial. So even though he got minutes and had a role, it wasn't one that suited his strengths. So he had an uphill battle from the start. But as you said, he had a role and didn't play well in that.

They brought him in for perimeter defense and shooting. Hasn't that pretty much been his role since he's been in the league?

He's one of a couple of guys that I think ended up being depended on early in the season for a bigger role (minutes wise) than they were expecting and didn't handle it well. I'd bet if they brought him back, he plays better.

Overall, he probably still fits GSW better because the teams system caters to his style more.

I assume the Warriors will keep Poole.

Payton is gone though… right?

Curious how much more he would get than the small MLE.

But a similar situation to Monk and the Lakers.

Well if Payton is giving the Warriors a hometown discount, I think it would be very, very nominal. This is Payton's first chance to land a solid contract after finally cracking through to the league. I think I read that the Warriors early bird rights make it so they can offer him up to a little over 10M a year. If a team goes over that then he's good as gone.

I will say though that if the deals are similar and the Warriors are on the shorter end, I think they will still have a shot to retain him. But it has to be within a narrow gap in the offers.

Also the Warriors are absolutely keeping Poole. It will mostly be about locking him up on an extension before he hits RFA next year.

How's Lindor doing so far this season? Glad he got outta Cleveland. He'll have a much better chance of winning with the Mets. As long as Dolan owns the Cleveland Baseball Team they'll go nowhere.
Much better than last season....and as a result so is the team.
He's now the de-facto team captain...and along with Pete Alonso and a few others are the team leaders.

But what is it with that Dolan Family?
Their cousin, James...is the current Knicks owner. The guy is a total schmuck.
Basically every Knicks fan I know..and even articles I have come across/comments I've read, basically all want him gone.

That is gonna be one expensive extension. Multiply it by 5 lol
