Was Jackson the coach the year they celebrated getting eliminated after blowing like 3 different 20 point leads to SA?

I'm honestly not sure what you're referring to. I know Jackson was the coach the year they tanked at the end to keep their draft pick which ended up being Harrison Barnes.

Jackson was a flawed coach, but he did a lot of things right in giving the young guys on the team an opportunity to maximize their potentials. I think unless Jackson has learned other aspects, he has a ceiling on where he can take a team. But I've been on record saying I think he would be great for a young team with young talent to help them figure things out.

This was after that I think.

Are you talking about the 2nd round of the playoffs where the Warriors lost to the Spurs?

yes. I think they blew a 20+ point lead in quite a few games...and then celebrated the season ending lol

Yeah just googled it. The Warriors had missed the playoffs every year since the 2007 We Believe team. So this was only their 2nd playoff appearance in approximately 20 years time. The Warriors were the 6th seed and knocked off the 3 seed Nuggets. Then they went 6 games against the Spurs who made the finals.

It was a good year for them. Their W/L O/U was 35.5. They weren't expected to make the playoffs, let alone the 2nd round with an opportunity to win. The fans showed them some love and the team appreciated it. I guess you look back at it and cringe but not gonna lie as a fan at the time I was juiced for their success.

What teams could go after Mitchell if he becomes available...Just a couple, these obviously are just rumors suitors, which option is the best for Utah?

Knicks - Quickley, Reddish or Toppin + picks

Cavs - Sexton, LeVert/Markkanen + picks

Hornets - Washington, Rozier + picks

Hawks - Bog/Huerter, Collins + picks (doubt ATL would give up Hunter and Huerter)

Spurs - Vassell, Walker, McDermott + picks

Knicks deal doesn't match up salary wise.

Phil Jackson has some input on the Lakers next coach.

Jeanie's DoorDash deliver person has input, of course her ex-boyfriend is gonna have input too.

Lakers either need new ownership or at minimum a front office cleansing, installing a real basketball mind as president.

LOL.

Barnes alone has more trade value than Mitchell.

Rookies with star upside are untouchable. He is on track to be as good as Mitchell, he makes a fraction of the salary and Toronto controls his rights for the next 7 years.

Non-starter.

And Mitchell isn’t going to resign with Toronto either so now you send lots of assets to a team for a player that won’t resign.
