They definitely need to find a taker for Russ. But like I've said I'd go further and blow the whole thing up.

I'm not opposed to the Lakers being good. But right now they are annoying as shit. They weren't good and yet they soaked up way more press and games than they should.

The only time the Lakers aren't a story is when they are boring. That's not the case right now, and hasn't been since the Ceballos years.

Most likely projected as a playoff team next season even with the majority of their roster in flux (again). It will take some major wins this summer in free agency and the trade market to project them for any kind of favorite status (Warriors, Suns and Grizz likely projected as the top 3 in the West, but that's a separate question. Get Lebron/AD in the tournament healthy and anything can happen.

Heard Atkinson was kinda rigid and better suited for the kiddie corps Lakers, pre-Lebron.

Heard Stotts was the polar opposite of Vogel * No defense, all offense * and kinda passive.

Heard Ham definitely will need a very strong associate head coach like Nash had with D'Antoni. But, he at least has the players respect.

All 3 have warts.

All 3 have pluses as well.

More important to me is style of play. Lakers need to at least trend towards a more modern style of basketball and emphasize defense along with that.

And it’s not really a knock on the guy to say he’s too old to roll out the ball and still be a contender with a broke ass roster with over paid talent that doesn’t fit or can’t stay healthy.

They won't be good picks though. Any team that Lebron or AD agrees to go to will be a contender or close to it, giving up 1sts in the 20s (unless they own picks from other teams).
