I remember that EXACT thing in 2016: oh you lose Bogut and x, bench too thin. Didn't matter one bit.

Even then, 2016 only happened because Barnes shot lower than his age from 3 on 85 wide open attempts

It's gotta be Siakam or Barnes. If they can't get Barnes, I'm sure Siakam is still a somewhat attractive piece but his contract is the difference. Barnes is the much more valuable piece. They are more of a contender if they keep Siakam now and adding KD but the future is brighter keeping Barnes. Tough decisions giving up a young player for a 34 year old that is somewhat injury prone.

Trading for kd and dumping siakam doesn’t help them as much to being a contender

This is one of those lakeshowlife trade ideas so we are back to salt grains again but this conjured trade has been described by several other pundits to be bait to change the Irving trade dynamics with the Nets. Richardson is good defender, wing man that would get the Nets attention and the Lakers could move THT and would get to keep the Second Rounder.

I like that "big 3" but that roster is nothing special imo. A top 4 in the East? Definitely.

I truly don't believe the Raps would trade 3 starters plus picks. You get the 3 starters or you get the picks or a mix in between. Not all of the above.
