So, players can't admit they made a mistake?

Your logic doesn’t make sense.

Why would KD ask to have Kyrie traded, then ask for another trade himself?

If he was done playing with Kyrie, he would be the one asking for a trade. Let Kyrie stay.

This is the opposite of that.

The speculation is that KD will ask for a trade IF Kyrie is traded first.

Sounds to me like KD still wants Kyrie and the Nets don’t.

I think he could want Irving gone and know the Nets can't build a contender around him so also want out.

Both can be true.

I mean....we haven't even seen Ben on the court with them yet.

To me if I'm the Nets I run it back this year.
They will only deal Durant if he requests it.

The more I think about it, the more I can see Dallas going the way of the Dubs when they traded Durant to Brooklyn.

The Warriors didn't want Russell.

They wanted his salary as a placeholder.

Worked too because they turned that into picks and Wiggins.

If Brunson is ditching for the Knicks, why not do a sign and trade and end up with Brogdon or......

Mental Midget, Kyrie?

Shit, make it a 4 team deal with the Nets landing Turner and Brogdon/Dinwiddie.

Somebody would need to send some picks the Packers way.

But, didn't the Knicks just get 3 from the Thunder?

There are so many scenarios that we can fantasy trade up.

But, I still think Kyrie stays in Brooklyn.

If they are shopping Irving I think it's clear KD doesn't want him there, especially after Irving sitting out a lot of games this past season.
If that were true, why would Durant be rumored to want out soon after?

There is a difference between shopping him and trying to negotiate a favorable contract.

The only threat unless the Knicks strikeout on Brunson, Brogdon.

Why would people throw assets at that malcontent when they can wait a week longer and throw them at Durant?

Yep. If the Lakers were in position to get KD...they'd wait too.

I think that may be the reason no one but the Lakers seems to be interested in Kyrie. Teams know that there are only 2 ways the Lakers get Kyrie:

1. He opts out, leaving $30 million on the table and goes to the Lakers for their TPLME - This would be dismissed out of hand if it were anyone but Kyrie.

2. He gets traded for Westbrook.

If it's option 1, KD may stay long enough to see if the Nets can get someone else. If it's 2, he'd be demanding a trade before Kyrie's plane landed in LA.

Yup.

Another reason you should be at the top of Kyrie's list?

If its option 2...

Of the teams listed, who outside the Lakers would be brave, or foolish, enough to give him a max deal?

Kyrie might be crazy.

But, he isn't stupid.

Opt in, get traded, get the bag via birds rights extension.

Opt out get 6.5 mil?

That's foolishness.

But, can't be discounted because its Kyrie.

It's more plausible for option 1 than the other imo. He'd just take one year of a pay cut and then cash in as RW leaves.

If not...they'll be considered foolish.

Yep. Dude left $16 million on the table because he didn't want a vaccine. He clearly thinks different than most folks.

He could play for the TPMLE and trust he'll get his bag the following off-season. Kyrie's about the only guy in the league that could do that and have everyone say...''Well, of course he did''. lol

If they do 1 year deals and don't extend LeBron this Summer.

Won't have Kyrie's bird rights and would have to use cap space.

Ya know, it occurs to me that if this really happens...@DJ is gonna be talkin' some shit. lol

Only thing that has changed is I'm pushing 51 on Nov 7th and married again now.....with 3, errrrrrr.....as of 5am...... 4 grandchildren-in-law's.

DJ was talking about trading Russ for Kyrie.

Nets would have to be incredibly stupid.

I know they are sick of Kyrie’s antics, and rightly so.

But for heaven sakes. You have all the pieces you need to win a title. Just wait a year. You aren’t getting more than scraps for Kyrie in trade anyway. Trading him now is a terrible idea.

Get him to opt in and give it 1 year with Kyrie, KD and Simmons.

If it doesn’t work?

Let him walk, trade KD and move on.

But don’t blow it up now before you really give it a chance to work.

Yes, I realize it is Kyrie’s fault it hasn’t had a chance to work.
