That's for sure.Appearing in 7 World Series, winning 5 of them, and hitting .321 also helps a lot.

Then the FO has to make some serious decisions. I think they are trying to get thru this season without forcing any trades that would cost losing quality prospects.i personally think he is getting pressure from the FO on playing the vets as it is Miller and Culberson are playing once maybe twice a week. and Calhoun seems to be playing 2 or 3 times a week. if he put them on bench the FO would be pressuring him to play them. they are being paid millions and the FO doesn't want to pay them to sit.
i don't want to trade any of our prospects but that doesn't mean we can't unload unnecessary vets like Calhoun, Miller or CulbersonThen the FO has to make some serious decisions. I think they are trying to get thru this season without forcing any trades that would cost losing quality prospects.

f the price was right, I would be okay with trading him.I mentioned earlier that I thought Garcia might be traded with no response. Any thoughts about it?
At different times over the last 15 months, Garcia and Lowe would have swapped places had this discussion occurred then. Meaning Lowe would have been the underperformer with Garcia being a quality piece. Defensively, they have always been considered that way. Offensively, they may swap places again within a few weeks.looks like a couple of people responded. I don't see it happening, personally.
Other teams aren't going to want our underperformers, not unless they are included in a package with prospects or quality pieces like Lowe or perhaps Dunning.
And it would have been Young appearing that many times had they been on each other's team. That's for sure.
Prospecting is never too early for you sir!Just in case anyone is interested. It is too early for me. Lol

Was hoping 1B and could move Lowe to DH in the meanwhile. Doubt that would fly at least not regularly. The issue with Huff is that the two positions he plays are 1B and C. He's not going to supplant Lowe or Heim as a starter.
that's up to the FO but they could be traded, DFA'ed etcHOW?
How would you trade them without costing prospects?that's up to the FO but they could be traded, DFA'ed etc
i did give that option but i've been informed that no one should be brought up unless they get 75% of the time playing so that won't work even if we dump Calhoun, Miller and Culberson so might as well leave him, Huff etc in the minors.
to keep Hernandez, Taveras and Smith on the field 75% of the time plus Heim, Seager, Semien, Lowe & Garcia playing full time there would no place for anyone else. except for bench players
but they would get playing time either by Woody's decision or the FO pressuring him to play them and they are standing in the way of prospectsCulberson is a serviceable bench player. Miller/Calhoun as well. None of them need regular playing time and you don't need Miller and Calhoun, just one of them.
i don't know we have traded players like them before and all we got in return was basically a bucket of balls from some team either in the playoff picture or close to itHow would you trade them without costing prospects?

and Culberson is probably the one some teams would wantNow if Garcia and Lowe get traded, all bets are off lol
I've stated before Culberson, is a guy I actually like on the bench, he can basically play anywhere and is solid person that you don't hear whining about playing time
Calhoun and Miller can go though
That is what I mean. Don't know. None of us do without costing too much.i don't know we have traded players like them before and all we got in return was basically a bucket of balls from some team either in the playoff picture or close to it
100% agree, Thompson also has things he needs to work on at AAA hitting wise along with Duran needing to learn to play the OF or 3B, Crim has just barely nudged his OPS at AA above .800, and probably needs AAA seasoning and is already 25, Dustin Harris how could play 1B, RF or DH also needs AAA seasoning@scotsman1948 Some guy’s especially like Crim are going to and need AAA time befor moving up here. I am all for creating roster spots from the guys mentioned but they will need to move Miller. Doubt if they eat a second year. Just don’t think Woody wants to let go of Culbertson and Kole. I would hope FO forces hand. Would not be surprised at an IL stint for some guys mentioned.
Crim has hit a couple of HRs lately but he has not had a stellar year. Looks better for Harris and Foscue but think they go to AAA first.
Even if we lose these guys just very limited playing time
