Flyers are hangin' there with the Rangers as the First Period comes to an end. Hart has 8 saves and we are doing pretty decent so far.

The Rangers have doubled us on the shots-on-goal. Hart has 20 saves in the Second Period. We are also getting out-hit by a bunch but we are hangin there!

This team is exposed everytime we go to OT. There is absolutely 0 speed on this team and nobody who can score. Hart fantastic play is going to keep us in the middle for years unless we start ridding the dead weight on this squad.

We've gotta end games before the OT or especially the SO. Our lack of skill or weaknesses (whatever you'd like to call them) are amplified in those periods. We can't play our game anymore and the other team is most always going to have more elite level, game-breaking talent. When we do get to OT, I think we need to activate guys like Provy and Sanheim more. Give them the green light to push and create 2 on 1's or even breakaways. They have more speed and skill than a lot of our healthy forwards at this stage.

I'm sure the fact that Laughton is the only guy we can count on to routinely win a faceoff is a bigger deal in OT too given that it's all about keeping possession of the puck. Sedlak is doing alright, but it's a small sample size and he's a 4th line player.
