After the first period we outplayed Carolina pretty badly and that says to me we can play with the best teams on any given night. So far we have been passing all the tests.

Please god let us beat the Rags!!!!

Wouldn’t coots and Atkinson have to be in on the CON ? These are not stupid people. I guess they could have the attitude, I’m getting paid, so I’ll go along.
Some people just through crap against the wall to see if it sticks.

Just posting nonsense to see if anyone is reading. :L

Not really, I'm sure they both want to play more than anyone could ever say, but it's kind of out of their control.

At what point do we see this "potential" from Frost that has been talked about for years?

What is the franchise doing to further develop him? What is he doing?

If he’s just happy to be in the nhl, then what you see is what you’re going to get.

He's already 23 years old and playing in the NHL what more can the organization do for him?

Farabee is 22 and he is developing just fine through the organization.

If he's just happy to be in the NHL and not fulfilling his potential we may want to consider him a trade bait for a decent draft pick that we are lacking thanks to Fletcher.

The games he's played in, he hasn't been bad. He just hasn't been outstanding either. He either needs to get hungry or he's never gonna make it. Balls in his court IMO.

They hardly even call his name and I've watched every game except the first one. A few times i thought he was scratched until i saw his name in the box score the following day.

Yep exactly, if you're invisible most of the time, your not catching anybody's eye. Three years ago we had the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost in our drafting. Turns out it was just Chico, Paublo, and some dude named Sual who played goalie a couple of times. Our draft was highly overrated to say the least.

In overtime, the Flyers fell to the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-3. The Orange and Black were down, 2-0, but erased the deficit like we’ve seen multiple times. Unable to close out the comeback victory, they did manage to escape with an overtime point in the NHL standings versus a potential Stanley Cup contender.

Tortorella mentioned that the second and third periods versus the Hurricanes were some of the best the team played:

“The thing I liked about the game, the second and third periods, was our checking. I thought we checked really good in the third period. But I just felt we made more puck plays. We came up the middle more in that third period than we’ve done in the past three or four games.”
John Tortorella; 10/29/2022
Philadelphia landed 27 hits and the fourth-line buzzed all night. Nicolas Deslauriers and Wade Allison both had a goal, assisted by Lukas Sedlak. The entire fourth-line registered two points each.

“We need to get goals by committee; they helped us out,” Tortorella said.

It's awesome that we have a third line defenseman who makes over 5 million a year.:L

If he still that bad at seasons end we may have to add a pick for some team to take him or buy him out.

Hopefully he is just shaking off some rust and plays better like he did in the second half of last season.

Get comfortable with it! 4.5 more years to go!
It doesn't look good right now, but I'm willing to give it some time. He's just back from injury and has played two games under Torts. That's it. If he remains this bad long term, then that's another story. We cross that bridge when we get to it.

He might literally be too slow for the Nhl. It's tough to say right now. Look at Sanheim. That kid is big and can really skate. Risto is just big.
