Shane Wright is number 16 on the list who went to Seattle one pick ahead of us this year.

A lot of our "top tier" talent is smallish players that can't skate worth a damn.

Well we just n

Who needs top tier talent? Apparently not us lol.
I agree who needs high ranking skilled young players in their system. We can finish in the middle of the pack with the best of them.:dhd:

I am quite sure lasgop, that when an organization continues to find dysfunctional FO peeps, the bullshit just seems to continue unabated. Until Comcast gets out of being the "owner", this crazy-ass thinking and subsequent insanity in the personnel department will only continue and the layers of bullshit that Hextall inherently brought and applied are going to be peeled away like the proverbial onion. So we are back to the 3-5 year house cleaning and re-structuring time-table. That time investment maybe extended or reduced depending on if the peeps in charge understand the shit they are doing and stop it. WTFC has no clue, so expect an extension in the clean-up effort in aisle 7 to be extended.

I saw that purdue and the author of that article is spot on and factual. The main reason a guy like WTFC exists and weasels his way into his present position is the industry of Pro Sports is considered as a function of the Entertainment Industry by Comcast. They are the ones that find idiots like WTFC because of their delineations and approaches to the 'entertainment value of hockey.

Comcast is only concerned with the bottom line which is incoming M-O-N-E-Y. They are not so concerned on whether a guy like WTFC really knows what he is doing. As long as Comcast gets their bottom line met, they could care less about the intangibles that we the fans are aware of like winning and losing and appearances, wins and losses when it comes to Lord Stanley's Cup!

To save you all time - in this article, Flyers are 70-1 odds to win the Metro! Have to go recheck odds to win the Cup

Here’s the commentary:

The Philadelphia Flyers are considered the long shots to contend in the Metro, and rightfully so. Their roster is littered with holes. The forward group lacks both firepower and depth, and Philadelphia's three most expensive defenders - Ivan Provorov, Rasmus Ristolainen, and DeAngelo - all have legitimate shortcomings. Carter Hart faces a tall task trying to rebound behind such a poor lineup.

A well written article. In the world of private sector business , WTFC would be fired and all efforts would be made to claw back compensation for incompetence and malfeasance.
We will get some of those picks back with a trade of Prov/Sanheim and JVR at the deadline.

Good news is the first round pick we gave up to Buffalo in the Risto trade wasn't in the 170 top players under 23 list.
