Also has to mean they're thinking Ellis is toast. Can't imagine they plan on going Ellis, Ristolainen, DeAngelo on the right side. Especially since they'd probably all make 5M +.
This is why I wish we would have gone defense last night, Ellis will be on our payroll for years and we'll foot the bill for his retirement.:tsk:

Unless the Flyers start salary dumping by moving some players, we ain't going to have the resources to replace a guy like Hart. I think Torts will keep him for at least another year and work him into Tort's thinking.

If they really wanted Hart they would make an offer regardless if we made him available.
Maybe, but why chase something if you're not sure, I would be willing to bet Kuempfer ends up there. At this point they have to believe they are only a goalie away from a cup run.

The only 2 players you could possibly dump would be Provorov and Sandhiem, you aren't getting rid of JVR or Hayes because no one wants those contracts for overpaid players.

Prov/Sanheim has got to be getting traded. We have a lot of money tied up on defense
You may be right it will be interesting to see what happens.although right handed dmen will get decent value back. Hopefully Awaz is wrong and Ellis will be back strong next year.

I guess I'm just being a negative Nancy, I just don't see a lot of upside to this team.
Well they still have pick 69 so that's something haha! Seriously they will be better defensively as it couldn't get worse. They will not outscore teams so that's the way they'll have to play. Make life miserable and get tougher.

This is the type of transaction movement I envisioned for WTF Chuck but it ain't happening. Chicago moved a couple of All-Stars and got a boatload of picks to rebuild with. Chuckie apparently doesn't have the kahones and we don't quite have the All-Star caliber players that are wanted by other clubs. We have over-paid douchebags. I would change my opinion if he moved say Prov and Sanheim and picked-up some of the picks we just lost for DeAngelo, like a third, fourth or even a fifth.

If youre looking for immediate results its not happening. Think 3-5 years down the road hopefully we will be a team on the rise after year 3 with Torts.

I hope we can pick up more than a 4th or 5th for Pro/Sanheim. If we get a 4th or 5th for either of them Chuck should be fired immediately

Yea lasgop. If we could get a third this year for one of those guys and a second next year for the other or two fourths and players, that would all be good.

I don't know man I didn't like Chicago moving solid young players in a bad draft year. Trade older guys fine but young ones makes no sense unless you are 100% sure your picks will turn out. Ottawa made out like bandits getting Debrincat.

Devin Kaplan RW. 6-3 198lbs. Sounds like a crap shoot based on development.

12 years of brutally inept management. It's already been 12 years of shameful disgusting moves. 3-5 years more? An entirely lost generation of philadelphia hockey.
