Tippett is on pace for about 24 goals, despite missing 5 games. As I alluded to previously, he could probably improve on that next season too with some better linemates and more ice time.

Caps with a bold sell 2 pts out of the playoffs. Orlov and Hathaway for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
They have been terrible lately, but WOW. Remember, we swept them in a home and home not too long ago.

I can't believe how much Boston gave up. I guess they are officially all-in to win one more Cup this season. I mean, Orlov is a solid defenseman, but holy shit! The rich just got richer, as they say.

Tells us the Caps probably weren't expecting to even make the playoffs anyway or re-sign either of these guys.

Yep. These series of 3-4 game losing streaks followed by a much needed win is just killing us as the Caps have moved on in the points department. Methinks that some players on the roster have begun the civil war with Torts after getting benched and whatever else they are pissed about. It appears as you stated, awaz, the tank is on!!

Maybe for once they'll win the lottery and get first pick. I like the young group here they just need stud hopefully they find it.

To me, it's a little late to be tanking. We're 13 points ahead of Columbus (and they beat the Oilers yesterday Lol) for dead last and there are 6 other teams below us in points. That said, we're probably due some luck from the hockey gods.

I hope nobody expected this to be a competitive hockey game last night.

Konecny is out, and I wouldn't be surprised if they just sit him for the rest of the season.

JVR sat due to "general body soreness," which is absolutely a move to preserve him to be traded.

I'm not at all sure why York sat, but that definitely hurts as well. Maybe someone wanted to see Braun play another game, stay sharp or in game shape.

So, who exactly was going to score the goals for us? Nobody, as it played out...Lol

I just feel bad for Sam Ersson, who played well, but ended up facing a ridiculous amount of high level plays that just weren't defended well enough. He seems like a very good, young goalie regardless. The 1st period of this game went scoreless (believe it or not) and it was actually a close game until very late in the 2nd or early in the 3rd period, thanks to Ersson.

Provy knocked a player into Ersson in the 3rd period, which emptied the net and gave NJ I believe their 5th goal last night. I really don't know how this guy will remain a Flyer in the offseason. He just looks like he desperately needs a fresh start somewhere else. At times, it almost looks like he's trying to get traded and he just doesn't look happy in Philly.

I was joking when I alluded to it recently, but can you imagine this clear tank-job turning into a 24 game losing streak to finish off the season and this team actually ending up with a worse record than last season!? LOL It is actually a possibility...

Only good things can come of multiple teams being interested!

Dear God, look at what Nashville got from Tampa for Tanner Jeannot (who the fuck is that? Lol):

Cal Foote
1st round pick
2nd round pick
3rd round pick
4th round pick
5th round pick

The years are all messed up, but wow...

Then an hour later, we send Ratcliffe to Nashville for future considerations...

If this crap about Torts is coming from Farabee he should really look in the mirror as he has been playing like crap on both ends of the ice. Being called out helped TK and Hayes and Risto why is it a problem for him. Suck it up buttercup and play better.
