The ref should be fined or suspended for T’ing Garland up at the end of the 1H. He hit a shot at a buzzer and picked up the ball. All he did was gently throw it to a player and then ran off the court like he does every time. Ridiculous

I mean a fine or suspension is pretty exaggerated.

Yeah I thought that end of the half T was absurd. If Garland really didn't something outta line, which he didn't, Gobert would have reacted. And he didn't.
The league is soft. The Cavs didn’t play well and didn’t deserve to win the game. It’s just crazy refs can make any call they want and all they have to do is make a statement as a crew after the game (only when asked) and it all goes away. This is the play….like cmon

I was shocked when Garland got T'd up.

And I don't like how the league rarely holds the refs accountable for lousy calls. One of these days the bad calls will cost a team a game in the playoffs. Then the league will have a real mess on their hands.

But right now the refs know they can fuck up as much as they want and the league will have their backs.

By the letter of the law, that is taunting.

As it a soft T?

Yes.

Probably shouldn’t have been called. But it certainly isn’t as egregious as you are making it sound.

And if you don’t think that is taunting, then what else is Garland trying to accomplish there?

If a player makes a great play, and targets his celebration at the opponent that is absolutely worthy of a T.

Nope.

Didn't have an impact on the game, but there was a lengthy stoppage in the Lakers/Nets game last night over a delay of game technical. They called the (supposed) second delay of game penalty on the Lakers in the fourth, but nobody could remember there being a first penalty. After probably 5 minutes of trying to figure it out, they still gave the Nets the shot, who had to sub Durant back in to take the shot (at the dead ball, they had just emptied the bench, but you can't substitute all 5 on a technical foul stoppage apparently). Keystone cops at times, lol.

Oh I made the mistake of saying that KD was every bit as fraile coming out of college as Holmgren was.

Reality has already disproven that; your argument doesn't make any sense. Chet is missing his entire first season due to a LisFranc injury. Durant didn't miss more than a couple games until his 5th season. Even based on build, 6'10/220 is still pretty thick compared to 7'/195 (based on their NBA Draft.net pages), and Chet was even a year older than Durant at their respective drafts.

KD didn’t weigh 200 soaking wet coming out of college. He might have hit 200 by his 3rd season, of which I watched every game. One injury is not a trend, if he has another you are right, but let’s not act like this injury had anything to do with him being too skinny. That is all this was about in the first place, I’ve never compared them as players. I’ll leave that to just about every expert analysis of Holmgren I have seen.

And that was incorrect, and why you got pushback on it.

@thunderc

According to this KD weighed 212 his rookie year. There were indeed concerns about him being skinny and not being able to lift much weight. But Chet is another level of skinny

"He was 212 pounds in 2007, his rookie season, then 223 by 2009, 231 by 2011 and 237 by 2013. Some of that came with age, some with an improved diet. He reduced his fast-food consumption, which was hard, since Sonic was right down the street from his house. Then he added more protein, mainly from salmon, sea bass and steak from grass-fed cattle."

I hear Chet has his own herd of grass fed cattle

Luka's averaging that on the season, the real MVP thus far IMO. 34.7/8.7/8.1, 33.36 PER (1st in PER this year, for whatever that's worth).
Giant ballhogs on mediocre teams should never win mvp. Hope we learned our lesson after Westbrook 2017

Finally an interesting quote from you. Luka dishes out plenty of assists though, and he dominates the ball because he's by far their best player.

It's pretty obvious what ham and cheese needs to do as a coach for the Lakers.

"Westbrook your starting now. Lebron you're our 6th man"

Doubt lebrons ego allows it though

So did Westbrook.

The difference between the 2 is that Luka can post these numbers while scoring efficiently.

The biggest ball hog in the history of the NBA led the league in assists multiple times. Getting assists doesn’t prove a player isn’t a ball hog.
