YES!

Bill Simmons says he's heard the Lakers are open to trading Anthony Davis. Nevermind that you should take that info with a mountain size amount of salt and not really believe it. It's now time for totally unrealistic that will never happen trades to save the Lakers involving AD!

Here we go!

Westbrook, an unprotected 1st round pick and some 2nds to Charlotte for Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward.

AD, Nunn, and an unprotected 1st round pick to Chicago for Demar Derozan and Nikola Vucevic

The Lakers can now have a line up for the next two years of Rozier, Derozan, Hayward, Lebron, and Vucevic. Got that 5 seed on lock. Give me GM of the Year award.
I know they cant trade LeBron until the offseason- but it would be interesting to see what kind of package they could get if they did decide to go for a full rebuild.

Not much. You're better off keeping Lebron. It'd be similar to the packages KD drew because of the circumstances, but even less. Only contenders would have need for Lebron (and Lebron would only want to play for contenders), but no contender is gonna gut their team to get him so it makes it ridiculously hard to get close to equal value for him. He's just too old to give up stuff for

Isn't anything that makes the Lakers better a bad idea? :noidea:

Trusting Bill Simmons as the source for anything Lakers is like trusting me as a Celtics source. Proceed at your own risk.

Don't know if that will work. He's only playing 22 min/game and has already missed 2 games entirely. Can he handle more minutes?
I don't see why not. His minutes have been more productive than Jackson's.
Besides, I'm not saying to give him 32+ min....just maybe a gradual increase to maybe 27-28 for now.
Those 5 or 6 extra can be a difference maker in a lot of games..especially in close games in the 4th qtr.

Congrats @WiggyRuss, @Shanemansj13, @dtgold88 and the rest of Cavs Nation......y'all are pretty damn good.
Why?
They had nothing to do with assembling that team.

That's like me dissing you for the Lakers poor start and performance.
Are you a part of LA's FO now?

With James out I think we should start RW......

This team needs to define roles and establish rotations. Leave Russ where he is IMO. Play through AD and surround him with whatever shooters they can scrounge up, then bring in Russ and play uptempo with the second team.

With Lebron out, it's going to be ugly. One thing for certain, they won't miss him behind the arc though....
