No way in hell he comes to the Lakers, unless for some ridiculous reason he decides taking the MLE is the way to go.

But there's a bigger chance of me shitting gold, than that happens.
Well please keep us up to date on that.

According to Hollinger they have enough options to get there cap wise

Yes, but like it was mentioned earlier, they would still have to fill out the roster.

And I hate the "three max players and fill out the rest with minimums" route.

Yeah obviously it would be a sign-and-trade. If Dallas wants assets for him instead of cap space then it’s an option but obviously Kyrie has more control. If Dallas doesn’t like the assets presented they can just let him walk. They would screw LA bc Kyrie is out unless he accepts a lot less. CP3 or Ayton present better fits for Dallas then what LA can offer. He could go to Phoenix lol.

In a sign and trade?

Hard cap is the hard cap.

You can’t exceed it for any reason.

Injury, illness…doesn’t matter.

They can totally have Kyrie, Davis and Lebron….

But, the other 9 mandatory spots?

Gotta be mostly minimums.

They can renounce everyone and still not come close to offering max money as a straight free agent signing.

In a sign and trade, sure.

Gotta get some team, maybe the Mavs, that want to take some of those contracts with guaranteed money.

Really? For fucks sake.

I'm about as liberal as it gets but even this is "what? really"

Yeah, there are liberals...then there's the crazy, far left "wokeys".

Wouldn't consider you a "wokey".

Both sides have their extremists.

I have to think the Warriors go ahead and accept the trade, they don’t want Wiseman back.

Shit like that pisses me the fuck off. I saw it live. It was clear as hell that there was no disrespect intended.

People need to stop being offended for the sake of being offended.

…..and how exactly do you get around the hard cap?

You are being click baited again…lol

Hardcap is 156,983,000…. Can’t exceed it no matter what.

Now, add up Lebron, Kyrie and Davis and see how much is left to fill the roster.

That's part of why Kyrie to the Lakers needs to just go away. That's a whoooole lot of league minimum players to fill out their roster.

They're actually on the right path now. They'll need some tweaks in the off-season and that's where the focus should be.

So KD asked to be traded to Phoenix but told them he would play out the year if it couldn’t be made to happen. They agreed to keep it quiet and boom, it got done. Professionals doing business.

I wish that all trade requests were handled that way.

The best part of having these smaller, more manageable contracts is that they now have just under 30 games to see which pieces they want to keep based on performance and best fit.

Lakers should try to make a strong push. They need a small forward who can give them 10-15 minutes a game.

And Lebron needs at least 1 guy over 30 to help him deal with all these 20 somethings. lol
Yep. He would get more minutes in LA as a backup

The Lakers should have a roster spot available. I don't mind a reunion with him
