Probably been touched on since you posted but I don't feel like ready 10 pages worth of the thread to catch up, but there's 2 reasons for this. The first being no team wants to give him a 4 year deal because he's nuts and not dependable. But the second is no team can give him a 4 year deal right now. Per the CBA, he's only eligible for a 2 year extension right now. He has to hit free agency to get a 4 year deal and every team is very hesitant to trade a lot of assets knowing he could just walk in FA for any reason. Even if you got a verbal agreement from him, he could still flake on you between now and July for whatever dumbass reason pops into his head.

Yeah, and looks like Kyrie isn’t signing it….as of now.

Their best move is to call Kyrie's bluff and not trade him.

If they are looking at guys like Christie, Reaves, Richardson and Collins…

Nets might be looking to trade more than Kyrie.

Based on the info coming out, it looks to me like the Lakers are playing this exactly as they should.

Best offer is out there contingent on Kyrie signing the extension. Drops to a worse offer if he refuses.

Meanwhile, they're apparently still working on other potential deals.
