It's a nice story that the kid got some merch and a chance to talk to Butler on the phone, but it speaks to the much larger issue of rest days. How many other fans shelled out money to see players that were ultimately just taking a day off for rest in any given game this year? The more these players make, the more power they wield, the fewer games they play. The fans paying those salaries? Screwed.

Butler wasn't resting though.

And i said it before if you buy tickets to see a particular player then these are the risk you take. But this wasn't a rest thing at all. This was a last minute scratched that took place about an hour before tipoff due to a back issue

Hopefully. This is a game the Lakers should be able to win (3-0 against them this season), but you never know! I don't think there's an official word that AD will play any way.

Comes down to the pregame warmup per Dave McMenamin. If he has an issue during warmups, we have a much bigger wait IMO.
