Lakers still went up 2 possessions after that poor call because Oladipo missed 1 of the free throws.

Even if you think that call was bad, it was pretty insignificant to the final score because the lakers scored on the possession following to go up by 2 possessions
Lakers were scoring on most of their possessions down the stretch without hitting 3s. Somehow, Schroder was getting it done again and again with quickness.

Leaders demand the ball. They need the coach to tell them to feed their top players?

Whoever said Herro was a leader?

You can be the best scorer and not be a leader.

Also as a coach if you see one of your top guys is not involved in the offense then you call a play to get him a touch. This is basketball 101

Herro had terrible 3 quarters before this season then completely go off in the 4th quarter. You can't just take him out of the offense when he is the best offensive player on the team.

Herro wasn't on the Heatles several years ago who dropped these same games with Spo coaching.

If you watch your team enough, you can pick up from early in the game just by the intensity they are playing with if they ready to play or just sleep walking through praying for a W

It wasn't the coach taking Herro out of the offense. It was Herro himself and Schroder's d.

I would not consider Herro their best scorer. Shooter maybe, but not scorer. Guys like Bam and Butler need to either get those looks or get the ball to hot/open hand.

Basketball is a team sport. There's ways to get every single player the ball. That is the point of screens

There is never any excuse for a team to get their best scorer a touch

Every single Heat fan would disagree. He is their best scorer.

Once again it is not an issue about looks. Those 3 guys are usually going to combine for 45 shots or so per game. You can't just ignore any of the 3 in the 4th quarter of a close game.

It's Spo's fault that Herro had a terrible shooting game?
Coaching, officials, it's always something with him.

Unless, it's Derek Carr.....then it's always Carr's fault. The funny part is the Saints could be one of the teams interested in trading for Carr.

Would be an interesting pickup for the Saints. Definitely think he'd appreciate Olave as a weapon. That kid's gonna be great...

Post 10,535 & 10,536.

But when your team for years is always play down to their competition when guys are out then it is a coaching issue. As I said before, this goes back to the Lebron days so we are talking about different groups of players that by coincedence is never prepared for an undermanned team when Spo is the coach.

Can't have your best shooter/best clutch player this season in the backcourt with 3 seconds to go needing a 3

Looked to me like the Heats most clutch player took the last shot though.

Got a good look at it too.

I never want Jimmy shooting a 3 at the end when the heat are losing. That's a play that should be ran for Herro

It is not the fact that Tyler didn't get the ball there. It is the fact that he was in the backcourt instead of the front court in that situation. That play design was just silly
