No way it’s 100 percent a team decision, i mean no way. It could be mutual but that’s it. These teams don’t tell guys what to do.

There is no way it isn’t a team decision.

Players want to play.

But a guy like Luka is also a team guy and he understands that resting is in his best interest for the long term.

So he isn’t going to fight it.

He might be. It is not rest.

Listed as some Quad issue but this is the 2nd time he missed the 2nd end of a B2B due to a Quad issue.

And that makes sense.

A minor tweak like that isn’t going to be enough to keep him out of a normal game, but why push it in a back to back?

Not worth it.

It’s a players league, if they want to play they play.
John Wall wanted to play so bad, he contemplated suicide.

Your team is actually a great example for deactivating guys in the best interest of the team.

Presti sent Horford home the year before he helped the Celtics to the finals.

Favors too.

You ended up landing Chet because he chose to tank.

I see no difference in sending guys home to tank and parking old or injured guys , for back to backs, if it’s in the best interest of competing for a championship.

What the Clippers are doing is straight Fuckery.

I don’t see a problem with any other franchise.

I can’t imagine anyone thinks it’s a good idea for Anthony Davis to continue to play back to backs.

He has never had a serious injury.

But, no way would I tempt fate.

I was mainly talking about superstars that can do what they want but yeah you are definitely right on the tanking. How the league allowed Wall to sit a whole year is beyond me, never should have happened.

Yep.

Deng was the first guy I can recall that happening to.

The Dragic and Crowder situations aren’t great either.

Toronto sat him until the deadline just like the Suns are doing with Crowder, waiting for a good offer.

Happened to Iggy in Memphis as well.

Memphis in the OKC tonight. Will be a bloodbath, Shai out with tweaked back and Giddey is sick. I figured Shai would sit, saw him get hurt last night.

Ehh nothing about luka in his career tells me he doesn't love the game. He would play 12 months if he had a choice. This is clearly a team decision

The team can want them to not play, but the player either agrees or chooses not to fight it.

If a star player pushes back enough, the team will back down.

Now a 4 game homestand before going out west.

3-1 or 4-0 would be nice

For Luka?

No.

If he goes down, they are done.

I'm sure they hear him out.

But, ultimately..... we aren't even at mid season.

Why in GAWDS name would they allow him risk further injury?

This is not Lebron, Kobe, Steph, Giannis...

Luka is the MAN in Dallas.

Will be the next face of the NBA...imo

Still, He doesn't have undisputed shot caller status yet.

If you need any proof of that, He wanted them to sign Dragic.

They said fuck no, twice.... Lol

Cut his other friend, Compazzo, for the corpse of Kemba Walker.

For the most part, yep.

Gotta be a legit star in the NBA, not just the best player on that particular team.

I'm pretty sure the Rockets and Spurs would tell Keldon Johnson and Jalen Green to go fuck themselves if they tried to make those kinds of demands.

Luka seems more reasonable.

So, if they told.him, no....you are sitting because it's in YOUR best interest, I think he'd accept it.

Same with Giannis and Joker.

Dudes like Durant and LeBron have earned the right to not listen.

Yep, and I think it's the stars that folks are concerned with.

You tell a role player his ass is sitting.

You ask a star and hope he sees/agrees with the logic.
