Luka was playing international ball all summer but now can't play b2b? @thunderc these are the situations that bother me. You CHOSE to play international ball in the summer instead of resting and now you can't play b2b?
Yeah well now it’s a competition to see who can be the biggest bitch

Theyve done an incredible job. No question.

They're going to need to smartly use their MLE and seconds to find those key role players and backups.

Plus figure out what to pay Love and Cedi vs. going into the tax or not using the MLE.
Full MLE on Love? I think that is a possibility depending on the other options out there

you don't need to MLE love, you have full bird rights.

You will likely only have the small MLE if you keep love.

Hard to disagree with any of this.

Turning those picks they do have into role players (like Philly did to steal Melton) is probably their best path.

But with their tax issues looming, using them to find guys (aka the spurs model, they had their run and rarely traded their firsts) could be another option.

Selling off Levert could be a fun option. Hurts in the short term but better than letting him walk when you are out 2 picks for him anyway.

man, falling apart last year turned out to be the best thing for Indy and was a brutal loss for Indy.
Yeah curious what they could get for LeVert. I don’t expect him to be in the long-term plans but if they don’t find a good trade option than maybe a short term deal idk. I still have my reservations about him. He is a really solid defender and can create his own shot but he isn’t consistent

A small MLE could be used for a serviceable big man. Lopez is a bench warming. Remember they have Rubio, I think flipping LeVert and possibly pieces for a wing or shooter would be their best option

Dinwiddie is “resting” too. Luka is carrying that team so I kinda get it and I could be wrong but it’s the first time he did it all season.

Probably want some size there

An Eric Gordon is ok, but is an expensive 3rd/4th guard

Like the lakers you’re looking at will Barton, Josh Richardson, Kelly oubre types

Ehh nothing about luka in his career tells me he doesn't love the game. He would play 12 months if he had a choice. This is clearly a team decision
No way it’s 100 percent a team decision, i mean no way. It could be mutual but that’s it. These teams don’t tell guys what to do.

No thanks on Gordon. Richardson has been good for SA. Oubre is intriguing. I agree, might not be an upgrade overall but a better shooter. Idk seeing those options LeVert might just be the best option

So you don't think a guy who was playing ball in August and September love basketball? Got it
Not enough to say no I want to play, obviously. Maybe he’s hurt and doesn’t want to admit it? No telling in this fd up system.

He might be. It is not rest.

Listed as some Quad issue but this is the 2nd time he missed the 2nd end of a B2B due to a Quad issue.

Still putting in work.

"James, who turns 38 later this month, became the oldest player since Michael Jordan in 2002 to score 30 or more in three straight games, according to research by ESPN Stats & Information research."
