Kobe wasn't different in that mentality, he was just the last guy who thought like that. It's today's players that are different.
That's fair. I guess I'm just used to it, and do notice that teams doing the load management are winning the championships, so it's working for the teams.

The rest thing is really overblown.

Who are the guys constanly resting?

Guys who are old and/or just returned from an injury

As I said last week, if a team decides to find a rest day for their top player once every 2 months then not seeing what the problem is.

I wonder if this will ever get prevalent enough that the teams start to notice that 2nd nights are harder to draw fans. Maybe then it would change.

To be fair, most teams don't pull what the clips did last night and rest so many guys when they are at home which is why I was surprised when i heard about PG being out. It usually take place in road games

Precisely. Teams are always going to do whatever they can to have an edge. If they had thought of it in the 1980s they would have done it then too.

Look at the guys who are consistently missing B2B

It is mainly Kawhi and Klay then you have Oladipo.

Is there another player I'm missing that is missing every B2B?

Those are the main 3 that come to mind

Dude, it’s that AAU shit.

These guys don’t have genuine sports hatred for others because of the mercenary nature of AAU.

Everyone is overly friendly and it plays a huge part in why team hopping is now the norm, even for stars.

Im okay with a little load management and would love to eliminate back to backs.

But, these Dudes are soft.

They don’t wanna play if they aren’t close to 100% and basketball is not the priority.

Music, wine and collecting baby mamas comes first.

I'm old-ish...so I grew up in an era where guys lied about the severity of injuries so they could keep playing.

The NBA used to have back to back to back games. The '72 Lakers had a 33 game win streak and had 2 or 3 of those during that streak.

I don't know if Lebron is missing all of them, but I'd bet he's missing most.

I'm 37 so I remember Jordan/Chuck/Ewing and then up until present day. I guess I have just gotten used it like I've gotten used to MLB pitchers pitching a shutdown in the 5th being pulled because of pitch count or whatever excuse they give.

It's just how things are nowadays as players look more into their health.

It’s old guys or the ones coming off multiple injuries.

Kawhi, Wall, Olidipo…

Im not sure if Dame is still sitting and Horford does it occasionally.

But, the Clippers guys are the biggest offenders.

Some.

But, ffs…

Dude is 40.

He has always been against load management and I respect that.

But, the Lakers are doing the right thing.

Sometimes you have to protect guys from themselves.
