They aren’t?

They have a awakened Davis.

But, they still shot 4 for 22 from 3 and have the 2nd worst record in the West.

AD needs to go for 50 every night to overcome shooting 18 % from 3 when your opponent is shooting it in the 40’s.

Almost every game you’ve lost could have been a win had you shot better.

So, kinda looks the same to me.
Probably why they’re overhyping the Reaves kid. He’s 40% from 3 through 16 games.

...when Lebron isn't playing.

Lakers gave up too many open 3s and didn't hit enough of their own. Russ missed a lot of shots too.
Exactly.

Yall all weird with all this Reaves banter.

Dunno why people are shitting on him.

I like and admire the kid.

Yes, the Caruso comparisons are lazy.

Undrafted white kid who earned time from hard work.

But, that doesn’t make them untrue….lol

They are not the same type of players.

Doesnt mean Reaves can’t get there defensively.

But, Caruso is way more athletic.

You're really leaning into this straw man. You're going to be itching for days.

I said he's a glue guy rotational player. What amazing hype!

He has in a way taken over that Caruso role with the team though. Not equating them at all, but both filled that over-achieving undrafted hard worker role that earns his minutes.

Fair enough. Why are we arguing then? I said his ceiling is the 8th or 9th guy on the squad. I’m projecting that his defense becomes an issue in a playoff series making him hard to keep on the court.

Almost as much as 16/34. Didn't lose ME the game though, I didn't get any minutes.
Eh…

Don’t sell yourself short.

You contributed the same amount of points as Bev, Brown Jr., Schroeder and Gabriel combined from the confines of your living room.

He's higher than that right now. Would he be if the roster was better stacked? No, but when you spend all of your cap on three players...

Nah, I can't defend a lick. I hardly moved laterally the whole game. My biggest moves were changing back and forth to the Syracuse/St Johns game.

Yeah, I can agree with that.

But, there’s a catch 22 with that.

He has totally earned every minute of playing time because the rest of your roster is hot garbage.

He wouldn’t get off the bench for most above .500 teams.

I think that’s why people think you are gassing him up.

For the record, I’m not one of them.

I like the kid.

I've seen Strus gassed up here, so I don't feel alone lol.

In fairness, he’s a starter for them….and he deserves to be.

Yes, that can be seen as both a kudo and indictment on their GM.

Kudos……You found a diamond in the rough.

Indictment……this kid would be a two way contract on a championship level team and you have him starting.

My bad. I should have provided more context. When I project “what a guy is” I’m putting him on a roster for a plus basketball team. On a team that would be the top 4 in either league, he’s the 8th or 9th guy for me. He’s a fringe guy on my playoff bench and a prime candidate to have his minutes gone come playoff time.

I’m still trying to put a finger on the Saben Lee shit.

He’s on yet another team.

Everyone does it.

That’s why it’s weird to see Reaves targeted.

Probably has more to do with the Lakers than the kid himself.

He’s been one of the few bright spots this year.

So, gas away.

Ps. Struts has had some good games too!
