That's only half the story. The tax bill is going to be like half a billion
Saw somewhere that they are trying to negotiate a less punitive tax for keeping the guys you drafted.

Outside of Wiggins and Donte, that's pretty much everyone .

123M with incentives to get to 140. A lot but I thought the Warriors would retain him.

That would seem very convenient for GS at this time. I'd be against instituting it right away if I was an owner competing against them. Seems like that is something you would have to put 5 years out so everyone knows the score

I'm curious If they trade Poole next offseason then. But they'd need a team like Detroit with cap space or they will just take on more money in return anyway.

Seems crazy to me but I'm not.paying the bill
Good point, signing him doesn't mean he's not valuable to other teams as a trade chip. Might depend on what happens with Draymond. He's gonna pick up his player option obviously. Maybe the Ws will pay a ton next year with all 3 then let Draymond walk?

Yea the Lakers looked like they are def ready for the new season. LOL! What a shit-show. Everyone suddenly is hurt including AD AGAIN! Westbrook's hammie let-go in the First Quarter last night against the Dubs when he was told before the game by Ham that his assignment of coming off the bench to QB the second unit is a definite. LOL! I can just hear baby-Westbrook wailing away in the locker room!
Should be Queens (Kings) not the Dubs. My bad.

If the Dubs are moving Green at some point is there any data to suggest they would move Klay too? There was some talk back at the beginning of the summer when the Lakers were interested but the Klay-being-moved talk has quieted. However, I am sure the Dubs will re-visit that option when they start reducing roster salaries. Just Sayin.

I once thought all 3 would play their whole careers with the Ws. Then thought maybe after this year and next they'd let both Klay and Draymond go and go all in with the younger players (and Curry). A lot of ways it can go. Maybe Klay re-ups for much less? Draymond as well?

Klay will be a Warrior for as long as he wants to be a Warrior. Warriors may tell him they can only offer him less but it’s up to him if he wants it or wants to go elsewhere.

Yeah, I just read it again.

The other owners actually want the penalties to be higher.

Only Lacob is interested in adding that caveat.

But, I'd imagine the Cavs, Memphis might be watching closely.

AD was precautionary. If this was a regular season game, he likely plays. If it were an important game, he definitely plays.

For the time being, the potentially problematic injury appears to be Schroders finger.
