Shouldn't he know this by now. If he doesn't understand that by now then I just don't think he doesn't have what it takes. Some guys have it, others don't. We know he can take over any game whenever he wants.
The new Embiid, the Doc Embiid has been taught that the block is the worst place to be because of how the double comes. He needs to understand that the pressure it puts on the defense is what gives the others open shots. It was a weakness when he was doubled from there. They changed the landmark. In the playoffs against an undersized front line that’s where he needs to go. It’s no secret that Embiid is a finesse Big. He can’t lean exclusively on that in the playoffs. Early Embiid did that. The Embiid we’ve seen compete for MVPs hasn’t been that guy. It’s been coached out of him to be honest. To us it’s an easy adjustment. Embiid didn’t even start playing basketball until he was 14-15. He has been slow to adapt despite his immense talents and abilities.

Guys on the board are being critical of me switching up. I’m the guy that at this point is saying I don’t think it’s wise to project that it ever comes. Some guys aren’t killers. He needs to be carried along by a killer. He needs a Dame or a Jimmy Butler that can talk the talk and challenge him and then go get 40 of their own.

That's why I proposed the Dame trade to 76ers. I am just trying to help

I’m on board. I just don’t think it works with Dame and Harden. In my heart, I can’t go to a Dame Embiid - assets you get back from sign and trade Harden scenario in my mind because of the tea leaves coming out of this disaster. Morey and Harden have coup d’etat-Ed my favorite team. If I’m right, the next step is they hire D’Antoni. Shit…I would love to see Dame/Embiid. I think it changes both of their trajectories and legacies. I just think you’re more likely to see it in Portland now because God hates me.

Unfortunately (?) for Sixers fans, you may see the reverse, something like Embiid/Springer to the Blazers for Simons/Nurkic/#4?

That’s way too cheap for a guy who has been 2,2,1 in the last three MVP votes. It’s more like this:
Simons, Nurkic, Shaedon Sharpe
Blazers 2023 1st round pick Knicks 2023 1st round pick, Blazers 2026 1st and Blazers 2028 1st

Also Springer doesn’t go out. They take Furkan Korkmaz $5 million for a salary match.

So in that case...

Portland has
Dame - $46M
Embiid - $47M
Little - $6.25M
Korkmaz - $5.37M
Keon Johnson - $2.8M
I'm sure they do what it takes to bring back Jerami Grant too.

Basically rebuilding their entire roster around those 3 guys with little to no cap and little to no future picks. Not sure that is even the way to go for Portland.

Didn't specify, but assumed additional future picks/swaps. Don't know if they'll move Sharpe though.

It seems other teams are expecting the Blazers to re-sign Grant.

When it comes to sports how can you tell a Cleveland sports fan God hates you?

This is embarrassing

What is embarrassing is that ownership would allow any player, much less a player of such diminishing skills and questionable character, factor into such a decision.

I imagine Thybulle would be back as well, perhaps Reddish and/or Winslow. Not huge pieces, but Thybulle is solid.

He could be the Unicorn...

We haven’t seen him play yet.

He could end up making Kristaps look like Dirk.

I think he will likely be great, but we have to give him time to see.
