Incorrectly?
Good luck arguing that NBA media currently doesn’t lean heavily upon analytic data to help derive all of their opinions and value judgments.

That's definitely a bit surprising.....I guess maybe JB still could be fired, though I don't think it happens this offseason.
Yeah he’s got another season I would say but is Bud a step up from Bickerstaff? No clue but Bud had the most talented roster in the NBA

Not sure. Let’s not forget that Bud won an NBA title and twice had his squad with the best record in the league. He shouldn’t get banged (that’s what she said) because his front office provided good roster construction. The biggest thing he did for them was his design of a defensive system. Brook Lopez is a much better player now than when Bud got there. You can also say that about Grayson Allen and Connaghton. For me, Bud gave them a defensive identity. In full disclosure, I haven’t been very impressed with Bickerstaff at all. I think injuries are an excuse you guys granted him last year for the collapse of the Cavs post All Star break when they lost like 2/3 of the games they played. Injuries can impact that but if he’s a top coach he gets them to a .500 string or close instead of .333 ball. Additionally, you’ve seen him in 7 playoff atmosphere style contests when you consider the two play in home games last year plus the Knicks series. He’s 1-6 in those games. He’s 1-4 at home in those games. Maybe the timing is off. Maybe Bud isn’t the guy for the Cavs. Both things can be true. But what also can be true is that Bickerstaff is not likely to be the coach that takes the Cavs to the level Cavs fans want. I agree though that Bud may not be worth diverting from a plan that intends to give Bickerstaff one more time. He’s not Spo or Pop or Larry Brown or anybody like that.

How explain to me how marsh is better than mike trout
Because its baseball and you can't get owned 10 feet from the basket over and over all season long but still make faggy nba media types get offense boners.

Jokic didn't deserve any of his mvps. Embiid has been the best player in the league for 3 years.

No c was better than jokic

The problem with MVP is that there doesn't seem to be a clear definition of "valuable" that all voters are working from.

This allows them to vote based on their own definition which can change based on who they want or things like "voter fatigue".

If it's based on value to his team, the Sixers were something like 13-5 without Embiid this season while the Nuggets tend to be like a G-league team without Jokic.

Unless there is someone who just separates themselves, it almost seems like it's about whose turn it is as much as anything.

And none of the above is to imply that Embiid didn't deserve it, he deserved it as much as anyone. But much of the MVP convo around him seemed to be based on it being his turn.

That's because he was robbed for three years by an offensive specialist while he's busting it on both ends of the floor.

So the question becomes are you voters finally going to stop being retarded and finally vote for the most valuable basketball player?

A number of them still chose to be retarded, by the way.

Nuggets were like 3-1 or 4-1 when Jokic was the only starter out. There are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics.

Yes he did. For the third straight year the Sixers were better than the Nuggets. Embiid is the first 5 since Shaq to lead the league in scoring. He’s now done it two years in a row. He’s the first 5 since Mo Malone in 82 to average over 30 PPG and now he’s done it in back to back years. It’s absurd to have a toss up for MVP between the same two players 3 years in a row and to offer the opinion that the same guy wins that toss up all 3 years. Absurd.

lol

18 is a much larger sample size than 4 or 5.
I’m pushing back on the 5-9 without Jokic stat being tossed around. 2/3 of those missed contests came when the Nuggets were missing other starters as well as Jokic.

That last line is the only reason embiid won

How is that different from 2021 - “Embiid would have been MVP if he played more games.” Jokic was MVP in 2021 because he won a perfect attendance award. Or in 2022 when the narrative was “look at this dog shit he turned into an also ran 6 seed”. The MVP of the entire league should never come from a team that can’t even earn home court in the first round of the playoffs.
